<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It honestly depends. You&#39;ll definetly fly and train alot in the beginning to prepare. There are alot of new regulations that you&#39;ll have to learn for flight. Shadow units tend to spend now time in the field and their units are usually attached to infantry or similar units. Gray eagle doesn&#39;t go to the field for flight training often because we need an actual paved runway to take off. I&#39;m currently a squad leader, unit trainer, and I&#39;m currently in school to be one of our units instructors. So it can get pretty hectic. The big thing to remember is that this MOS has 2 career paths for the most part. Those who want quick career progression, and those who actually care about the job and want to better the other aviators around them

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I&#39;m in the same boat as you. I&#39;m ready to get out of the MP Corps. Just waiting to be in my re-enlistment window. I&#39;m considering 15E or 15W. I&#39;m also more concerned about doing the actual job and gaining applicable experience for after my Army career. <br /><br />As far as your family being able to go with you to school if/when you reclass, this is what it says in AR 601-280 (Army Retention Program)<br /><br />a. If the school course is 20 weeks or more in duration, the Soldier will be assigned to the school in a PCS status.<br />b. If the school course is less than 20 weeks duration the Soldier will be assigned according to instructions from Commander, HRC. The<br />personnel records custodian will obtain ultimate unit assignment from the Soldier’s new career management branch, HRC, before issuance<br />of movement orders.<br /><br /><br />Also, you don&#39;t have to be over strength to get out. If the MOS you want to go into accepts balanced MOS&#39;s, then you&#39;ll be GTG on that MOS. Currently 15E accepts balanced MOS&#39;s in accordance with the current &quot;Reclassification IN/OUT calls&quot; MILPER message.
