Hmmm let me think a Civilian doing my Old Job grows a Conscience and then starts handing stuff over to the Media, Like Mr Horse in Ren and Stimpy said "I don't like it, No I don't like it". Yeah he is just the latest in a line of Jackasses that doesn't like some of what we do an rather than address it in a correct manner does something stupid and horrible like this. It's a bullshit propaganda piece. That asshole deserves to be in prison for violating the rules governing the handling, use, and release of classified material. As a matter of fact, he and Hillary should be exchanging letters from prison right now.

Haven't seen it, but personally I think Snowden should be pardoned. While what he is clearly illegal, it shouldn't be. He made the nation aware of an unconstitutional classified program that engaged in unreasonable searches and seizures.

I will not watch it. As someone in the intelligence community, his actions are unforgivable.. There are ways to reveal wrong doings and corruption within the government - running to wikileaks is not one of them.. He had several different options available to him, and he chose to be a traitor.

I thought about Snowden a few times when he first became infamous, each time when I was, coincidentally, sitting on the throne! Since then, I've never intentionally thought of him again. That's what I think of a movie about him. I wouldn't go see one about him or Reid, or Pelosi, or Waters, or Schumer, or Slick Willie, or Hitlery, or Obamasama, or, well, can you see where I'm going with this? BTW, I wouldn't pay to go see one about Bush 41 or Bush 43 or Reagan, for that matter, either. I did pay to see James Whitmore do my man, Harry, though. That was outstanding.

As Stone movies go this one will no doubt follow the same pattern. Idealistic young man soon comes to believe that his government is inherently evil, and that he must take direct, unilateral action, to bring about change. I've not seen the film so this is of course a guess. And my guess is that Snowden was manipulated, and quite easily so, by persons with their own nefarious agendas. This movie will portray him as a truth seeker, with only the best intentions, but the bigger picture of the negative effect of his actions will be twisted, or wholly ignored. It will receive awards, no doubt hailed as a great work of conscience. But at the end of the day it's a movie, of no real significance.
