The Police force did not do something wrong here. This is a situation that gets my blood boiling, just waiting for the lawsuit which is surely soon to follow! CSM Michael J. Despite what the mother says about wanting her kids to trust the police, we pretty much know that faith in police officers, especially in high crime areas, is lacking.
The most disturbing thing, is that the mother didn't bother to see either of them onto the bus. If you live in a high crime area, why would you drive off with your little kids standing at a bus stop by themselves?
I can somewhat empathize. Maybe she usually does wait. Maybe it was a rough morning and kids were slow getting dressed. Cool, but who contacted the media? And I can't help but feel that maybe a lawsuit is a motivator.
I don't know. I live in a small town and the biggest worry I have is mentally - deficient bus drivers who don't know how a four-way stop works.
