Well November 2nd already.

Round two today is a GURKHA XTREME. Awesome smoke.

November 11th is VETERAN's DAY. This is the day we focus on the Veterans but that should be everyday.

Remember, your freedoms have been bought with BLOOD, SWEAT and MANY TEARS of my BROTHERS and SISTERS in ARMS.

WE only say something when we start to lose those rights. Well Start to say something.

First time I've seen cigars included in the mix. I no longer live near a friend who also likes an evening smoke. He does his with rum or bourbon while I prefer cognac. Even apart, there's an 1900 text either way just saying the "what". Helps keep the connection. In the Navy, the tradition is lighting the smoking lamp. In the olden days of wooden ships, a purpose built oil lamp which pipes could be lit from was used. There was also a desire to limit where flames were and when. The terminology is still around as I light the smoking lamp around 1900. It's a Den Haan (Rotterdam) anchor light that you can light something from the inside chimney, but it's awkward. So last night? Since there was a Sounders playoff and World Series Game 5, it was an Alec Bradley Lineage (big boy). TV on the porch? Yup, just take the Genie and small panel out, light the lamp and the heater; you're good to go. Did skip the cognac for white wine which stayed cold in the glass.

Tuesday Round two is a GURKHA GHOST. Yes the holy smoke has made me contemplate something other than the lint in my navel.

BUFFIE TUESDAY Round 4 starting a Gurkha Wicked Indie

In case anyone was wondering why we are so hat crazy in this group. Its because the hat is what makes us different from every other cigar group. We gained 10 members in one day posting Buffies(Tuesdays) on CATS. Also hat is a conversation starter when you are in your normal or even a different cigar shop. It never fails someone ask whats up with the hat. When I tell them they are instantly curious and sometimes even gets new members. New members equal more sticks for the troops.

Early Day Round three is a GURKHA GHOST.
They call Thursdays Throwback Thursday. I guess the GURKHA GHOST is the right smoke.

You see since throwing back you get to revisit the past which is good. The problem with the past is when you let it become THE GHOST that haunts you.

After you read this the minute that has past is gone never to return never to be fixed, repaired or corrected. Nothing you can do but CHIN UP ,MOVE ON LEARN FROM IT and KEEP SMILING. This season is one that most troops have a hard time with. Away from family on deployment, Guard duty on Christmas day, Staff duty at HQ , DMZ duty on Christmas EVE, well you get the idea.

If you can do something wonderful for the troops this Holiday season. Send a card , a goodies box or even help Cigars for Warriors send a little bit of the USA to them this year.
