Chang, ChFC®, CLU®</a>, especially if we're talking about the military: goal-oriented, resilient, persistent. Those attributes describe a successful person in my mind.<br /><br />The open network vs. closed network may be a good argument for the civilian world, but I don't see it in the military. I guess, by definition in the military, we are sort of in a closed network. However, we have to move to a new unit every few years, and that requires us to open up our network and fit into the new environment. So I see it as something of a hybrid environment when it comes to open vs. closed networks in the military.<br /><br />And I'll add adaptable to my list above, because when we PCS to a new assignment, we must be able to adapt ourselves and our way of doing business (soldiering) to succeed.
