*Edited* It is not my intention to support this statement, I was in shock at hearing this statement made and want to know how others feel about it. It's important that we recognize there are people who espouse this message.

This is a statement that was made during a discussion about how our current Administration is handling it's affairs in the region.

I disagree with this statement.

What happened to Jewish people historically, a dispersed population living without a country and in need of a country in which they could govern themselves is now what has happened to the Palestinians with about 6.5 million Palestinian refugees now dispersed world wide. When a population of people does not have a government to support and protect it, then they are vulnerable to atrocities such as at the Holocaust. What is true for one is true for the other.

We cannot solve the problem in this area by not allowing any particular group to exist.

You can't post a pro genocide statement and attribute it to an anonymous person and expect a serious discussion. What kind of political agenda are you trying to push here? Even the maps you attached are factually incorrect.

The palistinians gave up any right to that land when they support the Arabs who over promised and under deliverd. Second when Yasser Arafat was offered everything he asked for except for the extermination of all Jews. He refused. Palistinians do not want to live side by side with Jews. They live that way because there Arab neighbors want it that way. There are Muslims living in Isreal and they have a higher quality of life. Can you say that about Jews living in Palistine. No because they are not allowed to live there. We need a President who will stand with Isreal. Not one who cares only about his legacy.

Bad things happen when you fight wars and lose. It is much less of a conceit in the 21st Century, but one could point to nearly every conflict prior to 1945 as the losing power(s) losing territory, often to attempt to retake lands lost the last time. Take a look at the evolution of Germany's boundaries. Or Poland's. Or Austria's. Russia's. I could go on and on.
If you pick a fight or the fight comes and finds you unprepared, you're going to be in for a bad time.
Israel's best defense is to be prepared, which isn't too hard for them to make a priority since the Arabs in the region have thrown a war every few years as a reminder. Egypt and Jordan figured it out, and agreed to get along. Syria and certain factions in Lebanon and the Palestinian Authority, not so much.

This is a much older and complicated question than your posting reflects. How to we even label the region...Israel, Palestine, Kingdom of Jerusalem, Syria, or Canaan? I think, from a complete historical perspective, unless we can find Canaanites, the Israelis have the best claim for the region?

CPT Private RallyPoint Member I have to ask where the graphic came from and wonder what the Jewish population looked like prior to WWII. Also, The graphic doesn't appear to match the statistics from the Israeli government. Prior to 1949, they only counted Jewish and non Jewish. In 1950 ~10% of the population identified as muslim. In 1967 the population density for muslims was still ~10%. It looks like the author of the graphic supports an anti-Jew narrative.

The Herodian dynasty, a period of Rabbinical Judaism, ruled from 37 BCE to 6 CE. Muhammad didn't visit the area until 620 giving question to rightful occupation. Between the romans, byzanths, calaphates and the catholics trying to take the land, why do people (not you) give so much credence to the muslims?

It is absolutely atrocious statement to suggest that the genocide of the Palestinian people is permissible by any excuse. This is an incredibly complicated issue.

Humans as a race seem to forget the lessons of history.

The poor settlement of World War I led directly to World War II. Poor settlements of World War II led directly to many of the present conflicts in the Middle East and Asia. European colonialism and later American decimated many of these countries which we now call Third World and led to the resentment that they now displayed towards us. As the world turns a blind eye to the genocide of the Jewish people during World War II we maintained a sad world tradition just as we had turned a blind eye towards the Chinese genocide, the Armenian genocide, the Russian genocide, The current genocide of Christians in the Middle East and many others. What Britain and the UN was trying to redress in the creation of Israel was making amends for the world turning a blind eye, again to yet another genocide.

We have to except that we permitted and created many of these problems by permitting the creation of a new country called Israel within an existing Country called Palestine with the obvious problems that have grown from that. Britain and the UN were the primary architects of this plan. What did Israel and the west think was going to happen after that start? What of the people who live there? It is true that when the peaceful immigration of Jews began the arabs living in the region viewed them as a threat to their own national authority and attacked them. But where does the right to defend yourself and and it just did generating into an eye for an eye. Two wrongs don't equal right and many many people have been wrong on many sides of this complex issue. These are a sad fact of history. But what justifies the sequestering and annihilation of a whole group of people? Where does it all end?Becasue of the way isreal started the Arab world will never except their right to exist so there is a perpetual standoff with both sides certain preaching their propeganda of how it all went down, refusing to negotiate because they have the moral high ground.

Certainly on the world stage aside from their internal domestic issues, Israel has not been responsible for attacking other countries and trying to destabilize the region. They merely attempt to control their own borders with imperfect results and frequent casualties on both sides. You do not hear of Israelis terrorists roaming the world trying to harm people of other religions where as amoung Islamic terrorism is almost stereotypical and world wide amoung those active few who preach and spread hate throughout the globe.

As we speak about this issue there is a genocide going on in the Middle East that no one wishes to address as well. Whether it is convenient or politically correct to address it we need to. These people were being ignored will have their day and will eventually rise up against those in the west who allowed this genocide to take place. It seems like we will never learn. Past genocides do you not make present crimes less atrocious. It is indeed a terrific problem that Israel has with people within their own borders to seek the annihilation of the state. Given the realities of the past they need to tread carefully. For those who do not learn the lessons of history are destined to repeat them. Just as they have a right to exist those within their borders have a right to exist peacefully.

The only thing that will ever and these issues is for the world to consistently stop redefining borders and countries and recognize the right of all people to live in peace. We cannot correct the crimes of the past, but we don't have to continue to wallow in the same ridiculous mistakes.

We pretty much have a case of when you want something THAT BAD, you get it THAT BAD. Right and wrong have been mushed together for so long, only God can sort out man's faults in trying to draw geographic lines. No you have two opposed entities demanding the same piece of real estate. So because we have it so messed up, that's why you hear one side or the other must be obliterated rhetoric. Hopefully it will stay the minority view.....

There is a major difference between what happened to the Jewish people and what is currently happening to the Palestinian people; the Jewish people were presented with no options while the Palestinian people can have peace and an independent government any time they give up on their primary goal of exterminating the Jewish people. Unfortunately for the Palestinians, they cannot give up their hatreds and they lack the strength to carry out their desires to exterminate the Jews; their hatreds are continually blowing back in their faces.

The Jewish people would be content with two countries living side by side in peace and prosperity; it is the Palestinian people that refuse to allow this to happen.

The "Palestinian Problem" was caused by the Palestinians and their Arab neighbors. When modern Israel was established in 1947, the neighboring countries were very hostile. They attacked Israel. Much of the Muslim population of the new state of Israel started to leave and became refugees. They got as far as the borders of the new state and were stopped by the Arab states who promised them they would defeat Israel and give they back their homes. (It's rumored that some of the Muslims took the keys to their homes with them because they believed they would be back in a few weeks when the Arab Armies destroyed Israel.) It didn't work. The Muslim refugees ended up in camps and settlements on the fringes of Israel (Gaza for instance) and the Arab states were humiliated by not being able to defeat the Israeli armed forces. The Arabs tried several more times to defeat Israel and didn't succeeded (1967, 1973, and others). Not being able to disestablish Israel by force of arms, the Arabs have turned to other means including terrorism and political power (the UN). Israel is standing strong today. (I recognize this account is greatly over simplified, but generally tells the story of Israel's survival in the 20th and 21st Centuries.)

I don't believe the Jewish Israelis want the Arab-Muslim former residents of Israel to be exterminated or "pushed into the sea." They have risked military and political extermination to attempt to reach a peaceful solution with their hostile neighbors. In the end, they have no peace because the Palestinians and their Arab supporters do not want peace. Israel must remain strong.

I am a big supporter of Israel, for reasons which should be obvious. While it is true that "pushing the Palestinians into the sea" sounds like a great reward for their statements about Israel, in reality it's just not possible.

There are Palestinians living all over the Middle East. A "Palestinian" is no different than any other Arab. If they don't recognize political boundaries imposed on them by the west, what can you do? And how can you really tell the difference between a Palestinian, a Jordanian, a Lebanese, a Syrian, an Egyptian, or a member of ISIS? The answer - YOU CAN'T.

So let's look for real solutions instead of "eye for eye" emotional ones...

Typically the opposite of this type of statement is heard with 'push the Israeli nation out to sea' or 'wipe the Jews from the face of earth' from Islamic extremist or even 'moderates'.
All people of all faiths have a right to exist. NO people or faith has a right to pursue the death or suffering of others.
I hope to learn more and trust you are posting for a good reason, so I will share my understanding and hope to learn more and the 'why' you posted this bias map and comment.
The area has been known as Palestine historically, but this term has always applied to the region and not to a specific people. Since the development of the (British) Balfour Doctrine in 1917's the British and the US pushed to re-establish a Jewish state, this came to fruition post Yalta conference. The ethnic genocide of the Holocaust, as Jews died and suffered at the hands of Germany, pro-German Slavic states, Arab states and Russia set the conditions for this re-establishment. Israeli was immediately attacked on the day of it's re-establishment by all the surrounding Arab countries in the area including Syria, Egypt, and Trans-Jordan.
There is not an ethnic group of 'Palestinian' this term seems to have taken on a new meaning after the Camp David peace accord to claim territory in the Gaza Strip and West Back with a push to have a separate state.
I read Barbara Tuchman's Bible and the Sword book many years ago and found it helpful to understand the historical importance of the region.

I see similarities between what the Israeli's, the Arabs, and the Nazi's have done. Were going to take your land because it used to be ours...Sound familiar. Okay...So I'm not saying I agree with this statement, ALTHOUGH IT IS PAINFULLY CLEAR that the Palestinians feel this way about the Jews or the state of Israel......Here is a History Lesson....and I sit here and scratch my head in disbelief because for the life of me I cannot understand how some of you and others in the US can be on the side of the Palestinians.....when all they want is to make ISRAEL disappear, however Israel does not wish the same for Palestine.
..............Basically one side wants the other side dead. This would be the side of the Palestinians............and other Arab states.....who want all Jewish people dead....or not to exist....this has been true since 1947.....When the United Nations voted to divide the called Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state.....The Jews accepted this agreement, however no Arab or any Muslim country did. On May 1948 the day Britain no longer had ruling power/control of this area, all of the surrounding Arabs states attached the ONE DAY OLD NATION of Israel in order to destroy it, but to the worlds surprise, the little state of Israel survived the attack. Then it happened again in 1967 when the leader of Egypt announced to the world that he was going to attack and destroy Israel once and for all. He places his troops all along Israels border and other surrounding Arab countries joined in ....Israel begged the king of Jordan not to join the other Arab nations and attack Israel.......BUT they did...... Israel pre empted the attack and because Jordan joined in, Israel took control of Jordanian land, specifically the WEST BANK river...shortly after the war, the Arab states went to Khartoum, Sudan and announced their 3 NO's. No recognition, No Peace, No negotiations.....what was Israel to do.
In 1978 Israel gave the entire Sinai Peninsula, an area bigger than Israel itself packed with OIL back to Egypt because Egypt under new leadership signed a peace treaty with Israel. So Israel gave land for the promise of PEACE with Egypt and it has always been willing to do the same thing with Palestinians....and all Israel asks in return is to be recognized as a Jewish state and promise to live in peace with each other. In 2000, Israel offered to give the Palestinians 95% of the West bank and ALL OF GAZA the Palestinian leaders rejected the offer and instead sent waves of suicide bombers into Israel......
In the meantime, Palestinian radio/TV/Schools remain filled with glorification of terrorists, demonetization of JEWS and the daily repeated message that Israel should cease to exist.
HAMAS's motto is WE LOVE DEATH AS MUCH AS WE LOVE JEWS love of life.
There are 22 Arab states and only one Jewish state and it's about the size of New Jersey.
Tomorrow if Israel laid down their arms and said we will fight no more. What will happen?

There has never been a state in the geographic area known as Palestine that was NOT JEWISH... Israel is the 3rd Jewish state to exist in that area. The 2 state solution is a false concept and will only propagate war. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yes the complete genocide is the only way to end wars in the Middle East, but you must remember when this does occur it will be the end of mans time on earth, now there are all kinds of land people don’t want to live on because of the harsh environment why not allow the Palestinians to create there own country there and support there formation of a new government. Leave no witnesses not even a child because as long as there is someone alive it will cause a major conflict and the ones responsible will be targeted later on in life. With the military coup the United States just underwent I kinda foresee the same thing happening here soon. What state is Washington D.C. in? What gives any National guard member to be allowed there armed and providing security to my knowledge troops being deployed to the capital armed and ready for conflict is a coup and violates the constitution and the way the American government runs
