Earlier I had sent an email to the "government" hoping that the the USA could leverage the Iranian Nuclear deal to convince Iran to release Christian pastor Saeed Abedini, retired U.S. Marine Amir Hekmati, Washington Post Tehran bureau chief Jason Rezaian and former FBI agent Robert Levinson, who went missing in Iran years ago.
I pray for wisdom for President Obama and his wife daily as I have done for President's going back to George H.W. Bush soon after I became a Christian.
Believers are instructed to part for our leaders that we may live peaceful and quiet lives.

LTC Stephen F. Even though I'm not a big fan of Obama the reporter was way out of line and I think Obama replied correctly in this situation. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a call personally from the COS of the White House or Press Secretary on his question and the way he posed it!

How was this reporter "way out of line"? His question was legitimate. It was correctly phrased. The President and his Administration is celebrating their "agreement" with Iran. They have left the American prisoners behind. They could have negotiated them into the deal but, of course, that would have endangered the deal, wouldn't it? The Iranians would have had to concede something and that just isn't acceptable to them. Obviously, inasmuch as they have conceded nothing to get all they wanted.

IDK....I don't think he should have gotten so angry. The potus is the leader of our country and he should keep his head and not show so much anger and distain....not matter what the question is/was.

CPT Jack Durish & Sgt Kelli Mays that is the great thing about our forum here on RP - there will always be differing opinions. I can certainly see your side of the discussion as well. I have been to these press conferences before as a guest and observer. I have sat through one of the meetings prior to these press conferences were the white house staff tries to anticipate these types of questions being asked in preparation for the POTUS to respond. He did ask a valid question and I think the President (upset) addressed him back in the best possible fashion for the time and place. It's just how each of us perceives the event. I value everyone's opinion.

SFC Everett Oliver - Sergeant; You ask "How in the world can we negotiate with the largest State sponsor of terrorism..." and I wonder how you categorize "largest".

Have you considered the "sponsorship" of terrorism originating in Pakistan and/or Saudi Arabia or do you simply believe whatever the people with the journalistic integrity of FOX news (or less) tell you?

COL Ted Mc -
You certainly assume a lot about me Sir. I don't know that the Government of Saudi Arabia sponsors terrorism or not. I don't recall anyone proving that they do, I don't agree with many of their policies but that doesn't make them terrorist sponsors. I am fairly certain that Pakistan has hidden terrorists within their country and don't understand why we (the USA) still haven't questioned them on it, or if we have how or why we haven't broken ties with them. Iran however has been a state sponsor of terrorism since 1979. And no doubt trained Iraqis to attack US Troops.
I don't know what FOX news has to do with it unless you happen to be one of those so far to the left you cannot see the center. And if you are I'm sorry for you. I do not get my news from Fox news, at least not in its entirety. And I do not watch any talking heads...I do watch HLN, CNN, Fox & Friends, MSNBC, and more political chat rooms than I should. Altogether pretty rounded and I hear it all. Sorry Sir, but yes I consider Iran the largest state sponsor of Terrorism. If I'm wrong don't blame what ever news I watch, But prove me wrong with facts.

SFC Everett Oliver - Sergeant; You might not have noticed that I didn't say that the GOVERNMENTS of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were "sponsors of terrorism". Rather what I did say was "the "sponsorship" of terrorism originating in Pakistan and/or Saudi Arabia".

The Saudi government has a long history of having its members (the hereditary aristocracy) provide funds for violent wacko groups on the condition that those violent wacko groups practice their violent wackoism someplace other than Saudi Arabia.

Provided that you believe that the ISI is NOT an arm of the Pakistani government, all you can say about Pakistan is that a lot of Pakistanis give a lot of money that ends up in the hands of violent wackos. Of course it does take someone with an incredibly high ability to exercise a willing suspension of disbelief to believe that the ISI is NOT an arm of the Pakistani government (and from that I leave you to draw your own conclusions whether the Pakistani government "supports terrorism").

How else would anyone expect his to respond? He is like a spoiled child who has never been told "No", then throws a tantrum when denied something. After all, he has enjoyed six years of invisibility, hidden from public view by a press corps filled with propagandists rather than journalists. In this case, he reminded me of the naked "Invisible Man" from the Monty Python sketch who prances into a pub where the patrons laugh because they can see him. Well, Mr. President, someone in the press corps finally "saw you". How embarrassing that must have felt. No wonder he lashed out...

Completely agree with you....I've seen him respond on numerous occassions with anger, distain and disgust....with more than a hint of sarcasm....and this horribly sheepish look.....I cannot remember any other president with so little dignity and humility.
