What do you think about carrying?

We are all military. We all have that instinct to protect and defend the innocent. Me personally I carry every day everywhere I go. Doesn't matter if I go to Walmart for 5 minutes or to the grocery store for over an hour. Do you carry? If so what do you carry and how do you feel about daily carrying.

I carry anytime I'm not at work, or going out to partake of adult beverages. I carry a Remington R1 Commander .45ACP IWB.

Probably best not to advertise on a public forum SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member, I have a Concealed Carry Deadly Weapon permit however, I will not disclose what and when I carry back home.....

I carry on occasion but when I do, it's not because I fear anything in the streets, but am protecting them from me. When I carry I use my MP use of force levels and before I get to use of deadly force, I've more than likely left the situation and am good to go with no problems. People fail to realize the weapons is not the end all be all in a situation, deescalation and calm conversation can get you out of most situations. The moment you think the weapon is your first line of defense you've already failed, or didn't look for a way out...and yes I know situations would dictate this.

I don't yet have a carry permit. I will probably obtain one soon. I would not use my weapon unless I absolutely had to do so, but it's better to have a firearm and not use it than to need a firearm and not have it. And I was trained in marksmanship by the best instructors in the world, U.S. Army Drill Sergeants.

Maine is getting rid of the concealed permit. I love it. Walk in buy walk out concealed. Every criminal is already concealed. You're only hurting the law abiding ones with ridiculous permits and fees

I carry two desert eagles and 150 rounds. Never can tell who is out there. Not that I am paranoid.

SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member I carry concealed here in Alaska. It is legal without a permit here, but you can apply for a permit if you plan to travel outside of Alaska. The permit if good for 36 other States that have a reciprocity agreement with Alaska.

I think being able to carry concealed is great, but I always respect the wishes of friends who have asked me not to bring a gun into their home. I carry a Springfield XD-s .45. It is small, lightweight, and it is loud enough to scare moose, or (so far) bears, when they come snooping around. I also, always, make sure that the gun STAYS CONCEALED. Civilians often tend to get their "knickers in a twist" when they see a gun in a public place.
