What do you run on your rifle of choice?

I recently got back into the AR game. Currently I am picking my accessories piece by piece. I am running a Palmetto State Armory AR15 with a free float barrel and a mid length KeyMod rail system. I just got in my Hex mags. The issue I am running into is my optics and sights. I have a EOtech XPS2-0 on the way for my optic but not really sure about my back up sights.

What are you running on your rifle of choice? Don't forget to post some pics.

This should be a fun thread! I keep mine simple. Decided to run a Vortex Sparc II after my EOTech would fog up on me. Looked at the Aimpoint T1 but it was more than I wanted to spend. I went with the Vortex after many recommendations from buddy shooters and people of the forums. It's inexpensive, good quality, and has a lifetime warranty.

For irons, I use Troy flip ups. I've had the Magpul MBUS sights on a past rifle of mine and I liked them a lot, but I wanted steel sights moving forward. They are good, but I wish my rear aperture was spring loaded like my front. I want to swap my front sight post for a tritium post eventually. Or just get a new set of irons, but since my Troy Alpha rail has the front sight integrated in the hand guard, I'd have to swap handguards.

For back ups I run DiamondHead, they are not auto flip, but certainly great quality

my "main" AR is a LWRCI M6A5 piston driven AR with an adjustable gas block for suppressed use, LWRCI skirmish BUIS and a threaded AAC 51T flash suppressor. the only things I've modified on it are I put a MAGPUL Battery Assist Device (BAD), a BCM A44 ambi charging handle and a Troy ambi mag release. My optic is an ACOG TA-31 with a green horseshoe/dot.

The S & W sport, I like to keep it simple, Fortis muzzle brake, Magpul bad device, replaced the stock trigger springs, and a Magpul handguard and pistol grip for comfort.

The longer range AR built from scratch: Brownells Premium Barrel by Saturn 1:8 5R 20 inch barrel with a Fortis Muzzle brake. GG&G bipod, Anderson upper and Lower stripped receivers, trigger spring kit (aftermarket triggers IMHO are ridiculously expensive, a set of springs is $5). The majority of the rest of the parts are DPMS parts kits. The bolt is a mil spec I picked up. I lapped the barrel to the upper, checked headspace, polished the feed ramps. has a Redfield Battle Zone 6-18x Tactical scope on it I picked up on a Black Friday sale as it was going to be discontinued.

The 9mm has a New Frontier Armory Side Charging Upper & lower, NFA barrel and bolt group, the rest is DPMS parts. I hate the 16 inch barrel on it. But living in CA, an 8 inch pistol version is not going to happen. It is fun to shoot at the range. A few people I know have built these in SBR configuration, and use a Magpul carbine hand guard and use the delta ring and "dummy" gas block to hold the delta in place, this allows the hand guard to stay on place.

Nothing special, keeping it simple, just make it work, I made both of my AR's with interest in doing so. My pellet rifle, a different story.
