After what I endured those 2 weeks gave me a whole new respect for those who have earned the Ranger tab. Had I been a single man back then, things may have been different. I had a PLT LDR who, after graduating from ROTC, received his Standard Issue for Infantry Officers; his Butter-bar, Jump Wings and Ranger Tab. He knew nothing about basic Infantry Tactic which led to 12 months of training and education on the part of us NCOs. About the same time we got a SP4 from 1st BN who was Tabbed Out; that was one squared away Airborne Infantryman! He could put LTs and CPTs a run for their money.

Ranger School is just a School; the real Rangers come out of the Battalions!Response by SSG David Stafne made Jan 23 at 2020 7:33 PM2020-01-23T19:33:44-05:002020-01-23T19:33:44-05:002017-07-30T15:35:51-04:00
