California has absurd gun control laws. I don't disagree with the notional goal of keeping guns away form people that will misuse them. Unfortunately, criminals don't follow rules by definition. This just ruins the ability of law-abiding citizens to enjoy a day out on the range.

What is needed, far more than arbitrarily expansive gun control laws, is actual enforcement of mandatory sentences for people who use firearms in a crime. If you commit a violent crime with a gun, the mandatory 10year sentence should not be something that can be plead down to 6 months of probation. But this is going to get me running down the rabbit hole of systemic crime and why a lot of our laws aren't goign to solve the actual problem, so I'll stop myself here. California gun laws suck. I miss PA (although the food and ladies out here are another story...)

I love these questions, everyone gets all huffed up a rags about what they would do. I spent most of my adult life as a Police Officer and relate to the "they" you imagine are coming for your magazines. If I were still working I would welcome the challenge. It would break up a boring shift. As is, I would be happy to bring donuts and watch.

I had the chance to do that with the MOVE bombing 30 years ago in Philly. I was on an AGR tour at the time and my wife was in the Philadelphia Naval Hospital for an operation. I was on my way from there to my home in Upper Darby and got stuck in the traffic.

I walked over to where several Officers were congregating and asked. They said that their crazy hied and the State Police had blown up the bunker on top of the house. By this time half of the block was on fire. The Police continued to fire their weapons into the flaming houses.

So when you get ready to make your stand, I'll bring the donuts

What magazines? What are they talking about? If anyone wants my firearm, they had better have a good reason for taking it. A firearm is not a magazine. They are 2 different things. No one gets the whole game. I will keep it, Thank you very much. They are not together unless I am wearing it. and then I hand it over it is cleared so they are not getting it.
