Also used to be Poppy Chairman for the VFW and I was Poppy Peddling Fool! And there are other one time deals we donate to. Used to do volunteer time at several places but the wifes health keeps me closer to home these days... I served as Commander of the Local American Legion for 5 years, I probably "donated" hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars a little at a time. Again I gave up the position to be able to spend more time at home taking care of my Army Brat, Army wife, who never had a complaint in all those years and deployments.... It's personal for me.
