The Army recently consolidated all rail MOS (88T, 88P, 88U) into one 88U MOS. In addition, they reorganized the Army rail structure to shift from an operational rail battalion to an advisory structure. ATP 4-14 Expeditionary Railway Center Operations explains the current function of a 88U. Army Reserve Rail Advisory teams are located in St. Louis, Chicago and Richmond
