What Do Think About Rand Paul's Statement? Church shooting was caused by "people not understanding where salvation comes from.”

Rand Paul made a statement about the shooting in Charleston and I think it sounds hideous. He's running for POTUS, and comes out with this crazy statement. He bounced from one theory to another, putting them both in context with each other. It sounds crazy to me. What do you think?

I think Rand Paul is an idiot. It was a racially motivated attack, beginning and end, trying to call it anything else or explain it in any other way is simply wrong. That's one of the problems we have as a country is admitting that something is just messed up, we want to find explanations and justifications that aren't there, especially politicians.

I think he is adding religion to the issue but knows it was caused by racism. He is trying to say that if the POS had true salvation he would not be racist nor would he have committed this awful crime.

SGT Mark Sorocko, that's a very valid point. Nobody knows, if he were a Christian, whether he would have committed the shootings or not. Christians kill people. I am a good Christian, and I would never kill anyone unless it's in self defense. Christians also commit sin, and are adulteress. It doesn't matter if you are a Christian or not. If something makes you that mad, you're human, and you can hate and be racist. Humans make mistakes and kill people or do it on purpose.

I have commented before that one of our problems in the USA is that we seem to always blame something or someone else for every bad event. It was a bad parent, It was alcohol or drugs. He/she had a bad childhood etc.
NO
It was a deliberate, pre planned attack on people. Why? They were a different race.
There is no way to explain this other than totally unjustified hate.
Call it what it is racial murder.

Don, I agree 100%. His parents mad a comment today. His dad said he didn't know he was a racist. They said they are broken hearted over this. He praised the citizens of Charleston for their bravery. I thought his dad was a racist and that's how he grew up. I was dead wrong. The kids just a demented, hate filled, racist murderer.

The parents always get blamed. What often happens but is seldom, if ever, mentioned is that there are other siblings that have lived an exemplary life. Same parents far different outcomes.

Well this country always had an occasional nut killing people in seclusion; however potus and the DOJ went out of their way to get some of these nuts to crack and now we have blacks doing the knockout game on unsuspecting whites, some blacks rioting every time a Blackman is shot and loner white kids shooting black church goers... reckon the masses have to hold it together while the nuts run amuck. It just may get worse with Muslim sleepers getting ready to spring into action nationwide with America's new immigration and trade policies.

MAJ Ken Landgren, He is Republican. I think he means well, but doesn't have a clue how to show it.

What a politician says and what a politician does are rarely the same thing, however in Rand Paul's case what he means to say is the real question. I suspect that what he meant to say was that the young man needed Jesus in his life.

SSG (Join to see), He should have explained it better. After I read all of it, I thought he was a kook.

I think you are hitting the nail on the head SSG Mark Colwell. Unfortunately I bet he thinks he has Jesus in his live although he would be wrong.

SGT Mark Sorocko - It's not my place to judge him on that sort of thing... I was just translating because I remember how to speak the language of the Christian right.
