But it’s also unique as it houses units from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. As well as several federal agencies. Drill weekends are very slow, laid back and boring. you either drill at Detrick for APFT, admin ect, or carpool down to Ft Pickett. Being an ESB, there is opportunity for deployment, however.
