What do Aviators do when not in the cockpit?

I have been looking up how much flight hours aviator warrants get a year and seems pretty low (avg 200+/yr). Wouldn't you get rusty after a long time not being able to fly?

Well there are a lot of different jobs out there for aviators mtp will help work with the FE for the maintenance program. IP will develop training records and syllabus for progressions. There safety programs to manage, staff jobs, advisory positions and deployments. They keep us busy.

There's flight simulators also, so actual flight hours aren't their only time in a cockpit.
