<p>Took her out to lunch and bought the annual bouquet of roses, and have some cuddle time planned for this evening after our children are put to bed, want her to have some romantic time together since she has to work tomorrow night and Sunday night for her weekend shift as an ICU RN, and every other weekend thing, just happens this weekend is hers.</p><p><br></p><p>I told her we would make some plans for next weekend to make up for it as well.</p>

CSM,

Here in USAEUR we had a training holiday but the kids went to school, I got to sleep in a little and then made some breakfast for the wife. I also made Valentines baskets for my two daughters with stuffed animals and some chocolates. Filled out their cards and then did the same for my wife. Later that night we all went for dinner.

Since my wife loves elephants, got her this little elephant looking pillow, a card and a dozen pink roses (she loves pink). I also got a card (the two on the left) and a red rose for each of our boys to give to her. She loved all of her gifts. What's great is what my boys gave me: the little wooden storage box. One of the best gifts I have ever received.<br>

<p>CSM,</p><p> </p><p>  Ordered my wife a mom ring with the names and birthstones of our 4 boys and her brother of whom we raised but has passed away in 2012. Wish I could be there to see her face when she opens it.  </p>

I decided to start building this library for my significant other (that would be myself). Then I bought a power drill to ensure I really make this happen. Now I'm learning how to use a power drill woohoo! Thanks Valentine's Day! :)

I shared a small box of candy and reminisced on our 20 year relationship.</p><p><br></p><p>I have to laugh I had to push up our wedding due to it conflicted with the mission that I had to go on. I got mine two Diamond Candles. Its a really cool concept, theres a diamond ring valued at $10-1000+ in each candle. She loved it! Cant wait for the candles to burn down far enough to get the rings.<br>

Oh what a cute question….This is the first Valentines day my husband and I got to spend together in four years, either he was deployed or I was…anyway, I got him two dozen roses, chocolate covered strawberries, and watched a movie with our son.  BTW the strawberries a delicious :).

In 28 years of marriage, my girl and I have never celebrated Valentines Day. Not once.

All year long I show her how much I love her and how lucky I am to have a woman so far out of my league. We don't need one specific day that thrives on guilt, envy and commercialism to foster our romance.

Not trying to bring down anyone else who does celebrate, its just not for us.

Ever since we were dating I always told my wife that I don't celebrate Valentine's day. I think it's just a big marketing scam. But it don't bother her much since I take her out almost every weekend on trips or stores to buy her stuff and take her out to dinner at least once every 2 weeks or so. I think it's safe to say that we "celebrate" Valentine's day all year long.

I always did the most horrible, disgusting, nastiest, dirtiest task from the honey do list. That one thing that you always put off for the previous 364 days. Of course I'm divorced now, so my ideas are suspect.

Several months ago I gave my wife if a FitBit and she is really into that; but there a more advanced model that logs stairs, etc. So I ordered her a new FitBit not exactly for Valentines Day but it was supposed to be delivered that day. Plus I got her two dozen red roses along with these two cuddle bears. Oh I might add. In four more months we will have been married 50 years.

I did the usual. Took her to our favorite restaurant. We exchanged cards, but it wasn't the usual. I told her how much she meant to me. I told her how lost I would be without her. I thanked her for being by my side during the tough times and the good times.

I feel that Valentines Day is completely overrated, and commercially shoved down peoples throats. I love my wife EVERYDAY, and I try to show her that EVERYDAY! Having said that, I/We don't do anything special that isn't received on any other day of the year!
