CPT Patrick Boling, A M-38 jeep w/ trailer that we used to get river water up our hill in Korea. We used the water for GI'ing our wooden tent floor w/ Brown GI Soap and GI Brushes with Brown Bristles. Needless to say, not much water remained in the trailer after jouncing up the hill!

Everyone in our squad tent caught a cold that night.

The end result was that our tent floor had WHITE pine boards.

I had two that I would give my right arm to have back again...63 Impala SS and 66 Chevelle SS 396. That was a long time ago though! I plan to start building one more in the next couple years, just have not made up my mind what it will be.
Current pride and job is 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 40th Anniversary Edition (250,000 + miles) and would jump in it today and drive it across the country and back. Bought thru AAFES in 2002 and shipped to Germany....that car loved the autobahn and the Germans loved that car. The 11th ACR plate on the front of it, was great conversation maker with many of them as well. Oh, and another old faithful...my 2002 Ford Ranger...my everyday to work and everywhere vehicle.

My FLA MED 1, this thing would die every week and it only responded to my voodoo witch doctor magic! You could have called me a re-animator even. The trick was using my six foot four frame to hold the top of my boot over the exhaust and pull the ignition lever simultaneously. Memories!

I started back in 1988 as a m113 driver/crewman and I have to admit this thing was a lot of fun. It was so easy to drive had the sticks to turn, forward, backwards. the M113 didn't get a fair shake, I know it didn't have very good armor, but it made for a lot of fun in the mud.

Second picture is the "Maneuvering Room" or the reactor control room. The panel on the left is the Steam Plant Control Panel (SPCP - throttle for the engine). In the middle is the Reactor Plant Control Panel (RPCP). The panel on the right is the Electric Plant Control Panel (EPCP). I stood watch on the SPCP and the EPCP.

M35A2 (Deuce-and-a-half) named "Bertha Big-Butt"... renamed "Stuck-In-Sands" during our lil trip through the rolling fields of Iraq. Loaded with 500+ lines of PLL/repair parts, ammo, and anything else we thought would come in handy for the 2/16 Task Force, my truck and loaded trailer slid down into the dunes several times causing our BMS to reassign the 5-ton tow truck to roll behind me in case we needed a tug out of the 'fluffy' dust setting in those little dips.
BTW- my truck was a year older than me (1966) and you could still see the star painted on the doors even through the CARC paint job ON TOP of the green camo job it got when she was returned from SE Asia in the 70's.
...miss that old ugly dog...

I didn't drive them, but I broke chains of Fast Sealift Ships (FSS), Logistic Support Vessels (LSV), Landing Craft Utility (LCU), and LCM-8 (Mike boats).
I did drive the 50,000 lb Rough Terrain Cargo Handler (RTCH) and all Rough Terrain Fork Lifts (RTFL) from 50,000 lbs down to 4,000 lbs.

Got in a buttload of trouble when I was an A1C (E-3) for my driving record and all of the speeding tickets. Just a bit of background on that, my last ticket in 1989 was the 3rd in less than 10 days in excess of 150 MPH and cost me $768 for the lawyer and another $1000 in ticket and court cost to stay out of the Harnett County farm outside of Pope AFB, NC. So I quit playing until I retired. I have a new toy and play down at the track every weekend when it is racing season. Tried to post a video of a track run, I could not get it to load. She is #1469 of only 2000 built

I know it looks so similar to the color of the CUCV of my day and that is kind of scary but I absolutely love it. No, it is not the 1967 Pontiac GTO that I always dreamed of getting but with not being able to do so many things that I truly enjoyed without this and the power wheelchair then I would have lost all independence which would have been devastating. C'mon just got this bad boy a few months ago it was what I could afford and it has all the necessities such as adequate lift in both size and capacity, full transition seat for the driver and manual hand controls. Yes, I love my 1999 Dodge B2500 and was very fortunate that the last owner took such good care since it still looks as if it just came off the showroom floor.

The military was the M151 Jeep. I used to take the CO's all the time because it was fun to drive and made easier for me to do my job as a commo chief and laying commo wire. I was fortunate to operate and drive most of everything in the Army due to my assortment of duty assignments. I always trained and licensed on all assigned unit equipment. From 5 ton tractor trailers, 5 ton recovery wrecker to bull dozers and clamp trucks. My 348 is 4 pages long. This is my current ride!

I saw this little gem just sitting on the side of the road so I thought I would give it a home. I always wanted one and now I've got one. Hell, it even matches my Marine Corps sign. It's going to be a great summer! SEMPER FI!
