What could happen to Trump now that he has been indicted?

I don’t foresee Trump going to jail over something so trivial, so I wonder what the punishment might be. Many people want to see him indicted for other reasons (Jan 6, income tax evasion, bank fraud, election tampering, etc) that could conceivably result in prison time. I doubt if a former President under Secret Service protection would go to jail, so what punishment could a former President face?

It's a nothing Burger because we already know how weak this case was and many federal jurisdictions don't want to touch it so it will just die in the Appellate Court. This is William Shatner's weird or what. The district attorney who sitters all criminals Saints wants to take a still, old and past the statue of limitations misdemeanor and make it a felony. Black California conservative talk show host Larry Elder made an irony of it yesterday on Facebook.

It's the perfect thing to keep America tied up while China prepares to pounce on Taiwan. This was done on purpose to try to take president Trump out of the race since they can't stop him from running but they can stop him if they have a legal challenge against him or at least make an attempt at this nothing burger that will lose in the Appellate Court.

update: 1SG Gomez (he blocked me long ago) calls me a bigot only because 1% of the population of Trans did 4 shootings. It still is true and not hate because 99.99% of trans people know its wrong but facts are facts that some shootings are by those of this specific gender or genderless trans identity. He blocked me but it is not bigoted to state the truth. I suspect the media and law enforcement entities are worried about optics but if it were a right-wing Christian terrorist, they would demand the information.The left is worried about toxicology tests may show that some of these trans shooters (especially the most recent one) had mental issues and took medications. The tests have been held up in past shootings and I suspect we may never know what these people were on or if they were taking illegal drugs at the time of the shootings. I recall a terrorist captured in Iraq near my base in Kirkuk was stoned and very high when he crashed is SVBIED into an Iraqi Officer just before he was about to crash the gates of a nearby Iraqi base. His suicide mission failed but he was not sober when he was on his suicide mission. This is another possibility that the shooter was on drugs while being an active shooter at the Christian school. We need to know the toxicology findings.

This is a perfect distraction because the left and the LGBTQ community don't like the fact that the Homegrown terrorist who wants to kill Christians was in the media but nobody wants to release the manifesto. The FBI has the manifesto that the shooter told her friends on Facebook would explain why she went and killed those kids and faculty at the Christian school. The beginning of the Congressional spring break and they don't like that weirdo with the horns got released out of the January 6th Insurrection because he was escorted in. There are many theories to why this happened at this time but let's not lose focus on the Democrats are trying to tear the country apart and they blame conservative and America First Republicans. This is not going to be figured out in a few months or even a year and they're saying this may take two years to settle. Hopefully they can put it on the front burner so we can get this out of the way. Remember, even if this loses at the US appellate Court it can still go to the Supreme Court. So watch President Biden try to put another leftist judge in there or try to expand the court so they can get their agenda finished.

In the meantime, the IRS goes to harass a progressive reporter who testified on covid-19 and how the government conspired to take freedoms away from the American public. In the meantime, the federal government tells US Marshals to stand down and not arrest people trying to protest in front of Supreme Court Justice's house which is a felony since 1951 under Truman. In the meantime in the meantime, President Biden and his corrupt ministration received a million dollars plus from the Chinese and it went directly into the bank accounts of President Biden and his family members and nothing is happening except from the Republican side and the Democrats are doing everything they can to stall including Janet Yellen from the treasury not allowing the $150 serious incident reports to be released that were flagged under Hunter Biden's pay to play access business account. We have a lot of things going on and the Democrats and the Deep state are doing everything possible to ruin our country even if president Trump wasn't an issue. Look how this hr1 bill which would actually centralize approval of Pipelines and increased domestic oil production the Democrats are lying and saying that it's going to put more influence in China when the Republican bill is actually centralizing it at the local level and allowing to increase oil production. Look how President Biden has done an executive order to take the Minnesota Mining area and oil exploration areas off of the Alaska Coast and the Alaska interior to Cripple us domestic oil production while at the same time approving dirty oil brought over by the carbon dioxide-producing super tankers to bring High CO2 oil from dictatorship to Venezuela brought it to the USA but he doesn't want the Keystone XL pipeline which brings oil from Canada and increases Canadian and American balance of trade by keeping money in the country instead of buying it from corrupt dictatorships like Maduro of Venezuela. By the way, Maduro is protected by Cuban Secret Service. So basically President Biden is working for a puppet of Cuba. How do I know this? My cousin from Honduras used to be the Honduran representative for the organization of American states and he actually shook the hand of Hugo Chavez around 2004. So President Biden at his administration are leading us to ruin. Republicans are going to see if Alvin Bragg got consultation or emails from the justice department or from the white house. For all we know, this political hit job could be coming down from the top by direct order of President Biden.

We will see if this results in a conviction or not. If so, he should receive the maximum. I have zero tolerance, regardless of party affiliation, for those who aspire to high office, who abuse that special trust and confidence while in office or running for office. It is too early at this point to know if he will or won't be convicted. I suspect there are problems with the proof. As I understand it, the statute of limitations was about to come into play and the Manhattan DA needed to get an indictment to keep the possibility alive.

Please don't take this as "what about-ism." I do think the Manhattan DA's motivation is primarily political. If he can throw enough stink on to President Trump, I think he hopes to peel away some voter support, possibly in the primaries and then if necessary, in the general election 2024. Here's the what about-ism. I wish that prosecutors were as zealous in prosecuting the political elite, REGARDLESS of political affiliation.

Clearly, and without doubt, Secretary Clinton, then VP Biden and President Trump were all guilty of improper handling of classified materials. Had you or I done the same thing, the investigation would have been much quicker, we would have faced the criminal justice system much quicker.

The criminal justice system is a joke. I don't know if it'll help President Trump win reelection but it'll definitely unify some independent voters and Republicans in general to think even less than and consequently vote against Democrats. That's my honest opinion but I honestly don't know we will have to find out. Time will tell but President Biden is not doing well. President Trump may have been vulgar, he may have said some mean tweets but he gave us a 1.4% inflation rate and a 6% growth rate not a less than 1% growth rate and 6% year-over-year 13% inflation over the last 2 years. He wants to destroy oil and energy so I purposely bought oil and energy stocks and they're going up a lot because he purposely is restricting oil production, he's keeping liquid natural gas terminals that are awaiting approval they're sitting on the desk of his church of the green New Deal department heads and won't be approved so as America suffers or due to the incompetence of the administration that cares more about climate change than about the American people, President Trump and Republicans will get stronger, President Trump will not face any jail time and Democrats will end up falling on their own bayonets.
He may be suffering now but he'll go down on those history books as one of the best presidents who was screwed over. In the end, historians will compare Mr. Magoo and Mr. Rogers President Biden versus hot head but effective president Trump.

Indicted for what? I only ask because this has not been released. That said, it had better be substantial or it will only embolden his base even more than it has. Perhaps the left wants this in order to make that happen, who knows? My opinion, do not use the criminal courts simply to further a political goal, be consistent (which this DA is not), and stay in your lane with regards to the laws you can enforce and prosecute.

This is Uncharted territory. You're asking a good question but even the Legal Eagles that I've been hearing on the news since president Trump disclosed a couple weeks ago about the impending charges leading up to the indictment that is still sealed, we won't know. Today I heard former Attorney General Bill Barr and other attorneys basically rehash stuff that I've already said. I guess people will have a better idea on Tuesday but all the attorneys agree that President Trump is going to motion with his attorney to throw this out because it is beyond the statute of limitations. We are now in the left of Lenin Democrat Twilight Zone. It's funny to hear some of the responses from Louisiana Senator John Kennedy. He really puts Democrats on the spot by making funny jokes against them that's where I got this quote of left of Lenin Democrats. They were also calling the Banana Republic Justice from Democrats that will do anything and will shoehorn or bootstrap or bend the law to make it work with their weird Theory. I'm sure this post of yours will get over 100 likes because people will get drawn to it because this will be the NeverEnding Story Donald Trump TV miniseries for at least the next year and a half.

Having looked at the indictment and statement of facts it would appear that the DA is claiming that Donald J. Trump had maintained his control over The Trump Organization and that the state of New York and the banks holding the Trump Revocable Trust had NOTHING to do with any of this when both the indictment and statement of facts list the payments coming from said trust.

If the state and banks were in control of the trust then they are responsible not Trump, if Trump was actually controlling the trust then that is a violation of federal law from my understanding. You can't say that he didn't violate federal law while controlling the trust and accuse him of violating state law for controlling the trust.

How about we look into the accusations of official misconduct by Joseph R, Biden during his time as Vice-President.

I don't know of any major public figure that doesn't have a few skeletons rattling around in a closet or two.

In my opinion since the New York state legal period of their Statute of Limitations passed many years ago so the case will be tossed out and will not go to trial. God Bless Our daughter who has her own family she makes about $12/hr up2 12 hrs/day 5 days/week is giving us grocery money and my mother is trying 2 keep us off of the streets! We would not ĺast more than a day or 2! Our knees and backs are toast if I fall these days it takes about 4 strong firemen 2 help get me up! Plus between getting second and third ° frostbite in my hands and feet while at Minot AFB along with my RT work my hands are close 2 useless! So as a D-RAT heffe in our county told me that I should get off my sorry ass and go back 2 work? (Doing what I say!!?) In this case at least, ultimately nothing. Even his opponents have admitted the charges are unjustified, exculpatory evidence suppressed, and the grand jury poorly advised. I suspect the other investigations will also prove equally vacuous.

Realisticly, if convicted there will be a quiet discussion and an agreement citing the 14th amendment that he will not seek election in the future as he would be judged unfit to seek public office. Some of the prosecutors might be willing to make the same deal as if it were a plea bargain deal. Time will tell.
