What changes, if any, should be made to ensure the infantry continues to succeed after adding women?

With women being allowed to join the infantry, what should be changed to ensure we aren't accommodating and making it easier. What can be done to ensure we stay trained just as hard as we have been for the last 2 centuries.

Simply maintain the standard as normal. If they meet it great, if not there are plenty of other jobs they can do.

All of infantry must meet one set of relevant standards to gain entrance.

The first thing is now that the decision has been made we cannot adopt an us versus them mentality. It will only end badly for the Marines and leaders who do. Tough and realistic standards based training has been and will continue to be the way forward. We must adhere to the standards in our T&R manuals and stick to PECLs they spell everything out in black in white. Also Counselings, document everything, if they are not meeting the standards, counsel them on. If they continue to be a problem then you have documented their lack of progress and can justify to the chain of command Another problem is fraternization and favoritism, these are problems that will only become worse when we introduce women into the mix.

Zero accommodation. Same standard as we have today. Out biggest issue is how to we handle the unicorn or two that might actually make it. Separate birthing/showering areas etc. My guess is the number that will try will be low once they figure out it isn't like call of duty. Even fewer yet might will it.

The Marine Corps has already done the work on testing this concept. Bad idea, it WILL impact combat readiness and effectiveness of units that have more than a token presence. This is merely more political chicanery being pushed by the left to create an equality that does not exist.

As a female I feel that none of the training standards should change. I feel if women want in a mans world she will need to be in the same standard as the males.

There should be no changes or special accommodations made for females. If they want to live in the Combat Arms world, they will need to adapt and survive in that world. No special living arrangements when in the field or deployed as that will hinder the team work and camaraderie that is needed to survive in that environment.

LCpl Tad Cunningham If they can preform at the current standards, then by all means ket them. I am sure they can do just as good as a job as some men out there.

Start by not trying to make pack mules of the women, because in today's conflicts its all about being mobile as we chase down a mobile enemy so perhaps it is time to change how we men think and fight and adapt to this modern warfare.

The biggest issue isn't MOS school, although it is a problem that we still haven't had a female officer graduate IOC. The larger issue is that basic requirements to be a Marine are not, and never have been, equal for males and females. Women go through a segregated boot camp experience, and their physical standards are lower from day one. Change that, and we can begin to have a real conversation about standards.

My biggest issue is the fact that women want equality so they can be in a combat MOS, yet they still have to do less to get a perfect score than their male counterparts. Women want full equality, they should have the exact same grooming standard, weekly haircut 0-3 inches faded, and the same physical standard. True equality
