I have two which I still have. The first one is my Ford F-150 truck I purchased in late 2002 upon my return to the States from my three year tour in Okinawa. I spent over three months, off and on, doing research on vehicles so I would be better prepared to make a purchase. My truck has been a great vehicle for me over the years and she still has a lot left in her. 140K miles and still going. My second is my 2006 Harley Davidson 883C bike, which I have posted a pic somewhere on RP. I bought my bike and started to learn how to ride immediately. Ever since then, I have always loved to get on the bike and ride around. It's so comforting and relaxing to feel the air rushing around me, as well as seeing and appreciating the environment in a less restricted venue.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 29 at 2014 7:28 PM2014-10-29T19:28:27-04:002014-10-29T19:28:27-04:00SSgt B Mac336977<div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-14306"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image">

I am surprised that this question slipped through the cracks like this. I've head many childhood stories of people owning a 69 Camaro, or a 57 Chevy or a 65 Mustang because "grandpa used to take me out for Sunday icecream when I was a kid" or something similar. Everyone has their nostalgic car. <br />My dad was in the Air Force too, and when I was in HS we lived in Japan. There weren't many American cars in the area but an Airman on base had his 65 Mustang shipped out to the island. The first time I saw it I knew I wanted one.<br />I bought my first 66 Mustang back in 2000 after getting married while in Tech School at DLI. The wife is gone, the car is still mine. I can't count all the times I've been towed home or stranded on a cross country road trip in it. The old girl and I have been on many adventures together. For as long as I'm breathing, I'm the last owner of that car.Response by SSgt B Mac made Nov 21 at 2014 3:18 PM2014-11-21T15:18:02-05:002014-11-21T15:18:02-05:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member336987<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>my 1974 Gremlin-X. My 1st one ever at 15.5 years of age was a 67 Chevy Nova 2 door. I had been saving up to buy my 1st car and didnt know what I wanted or what was even out there on the market, but as any kid I wanted a hot rod. My parents picked me up from school one day and told me they had found a car that I WAS going to buy and had taken all 800 dollars from my savings account as it cost exactly 800. when we got to our neighbors house I was not sure what was going on as this couple were in their late 70's and surely didnt own a hot rod . I stayed in the car while they went and talked to Ed. I saw them give Ed the money and my stomach flipped when he drove this shoe box looking dark purple, heavily oxidized car out of his garage. My step dad yelled for me to get out of the car and look at my new car, I got out all right and ran straight into the woods and walked home. The car was waiting for me when I got home as was a good ass chewing, I said it wasnt my car ad wanted my money they stole from me and after a butt whooping I was given the keys which I threw down and again ran out the door. I refused to drive it, the color was ugly, shape was hideous, and I had never seen a chevy Nova like that. We went to Seattle one day and I saw so many of these things all hot roded up and couldnt wait to get back home !!! I told my parents I wanted a new paint job and was told it would not be painted until it needed it or I wrecked it, so I drove into town and ran it into a cement wall. after getting my ass kicked yet again it was parked for some time. I wrecked my bike and wound up in the hospital and my parents thought it was funny to have it painted Porche red wine, put Craigar SS mags on it and park it out front of the Hospital window so I could lay there and look at it. I loved this car !!!! I went into basic on the 17th and called to let them know I was alive on the 19th, in that time they had let my little brother drive it and he totaled it!!! car was gone and I long for another one to this day.Response by SGT Michael Glenn made Nov 21 at 2014 4:27 PM2014-11-21T16:27:36-05:002014-11-21T16:27:36-05:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member337071<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I got my dream car before I enlisted. It is still a daily driver. A couple years ago a pick up backed over the front of it. I put the $14K insurance check back into it and redid the interior in a carbon fiber themed look, stripped and repainted the entire car, and re-did the engine bay in light weight aluminum diamond plate.<br />It's 44" tall, drives like a Go-kart and has caused accidents by other drivers watching it.Response by Cpl Dennis F. made Nov 21 at 2014 5:05 PM2014-11-21T17:05:27-05:002014-11-21T17:05:27-05:00SFC Vernon McNabb337231<div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-14277"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image">

It was a Sentra with an Altima engine in it, better suspension, and upgraded interior. <br />It had 180lbs of torque @4000 rpm. I'm not a speeder, but I like getting to cruising speed fast. This car did it for me. This was my first new car and I made payments on it myself. I did all the work on this car myself. I didn't let anyone but me touch this car. I washed this car religiously and kept it in the best condition I could have. I had a lot of modifications done to this car. Intake, header, exhaust, air fuel controller, rims, audio, short shifter.... but after a while I just wanted a nice quiet ride. I got rid of it about 5 years ago.<br /><br />I now drive an 09' scion tc. I only added some audio upgrades. I don't handle my own maintenance. I just pay people now. I definitely love my current car less. It not as fun to drive but at least its quiet and rides smooth.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 25 at 2014 8:19 PM2014-11-25T20:19:51-05:002014-11-25T20:19:51-05:00PO2 Corey Ferretti342445<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would have to go with my first car. 2001 Nissna altima it was an impulse buy so i could get around. But she was one tough beast she sat in a flood plane one day i walk out and there was standing water in the floor board started up and drove out of it. She was also the first car i paid off.Response by PO2 Corey Ferretti made Nov 25 at 2014 8:32 PM2014-11-25T20:32:09-05:002014-11-25T20:32:09-05:002014-08-13T07:04:35-04:00
