The 1/23rd is in the 1st SBCT (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) and the other is 4/23rd and they are under the 2nd SBCT. Both are part of the 2nd ID. So I hoped that clarified some of the unit information. However; there is no 23 Brigade Engineer Battalion from what I know, however; if you are sure that it is, great. I will have to see where they are locatined.<br /><br />Well I hope you will enjoy your downtime here, there is some much to do, you could easily go on stay-cation and not get every thing don. So I hope you enjoy your tour.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 3 at 2015 7:30 AM2015-12-03T07:30:26-05:002015-12-03T07:30:26-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1153256<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>They just stood up 23rd BEB. It's falls under 1-2 SBCT. They have great Commanders and 1SGs over there and are slowly filling their ranks. Whats your MOS? NTC is in April. I've been in 3-2 and now reflagged as 1-2 since June 13 and not a quarter goes by that we aren't in the field. It's not bad just prep your spouse for the shock of being gone 3 wks or more every couple of months...Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 8 at 2015 11:22 AM2015-12-08T11:22:58-05:002015-12-08T11:22:58-05:00PO2 John Weidenfeller1161111<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Well I don't know anything about the Unit, but JBLM is a huge melting pot. I grew up here most of my life and theres lots of things to do recreationally. We have the the cascade mountain range which offer all sorts of trails and such. We also get all 4 seasons here, so you'll get a little bit of everything. Your only about a 45 minute drive from Seattle, so theres really a lot to see. 2 hour drive from Oregon and about 3 hour drive to Vancouver, Canada. There's lots of different cultures in the Pacific North West!Response by PO2 John Weidenfeller made Dec 8 at 2015 6:27 PM2015-12-08T18:27:11-05:002015-12-08T18:27:11-05:00SSG Martin Chen1201290<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am ret SSG and now a civilian employee on base. I'm assigned over at 23rd BEB in B. Company. We stood up Sept 2015. Most of the soldiers are from 18th EN Co, which got deactivated on the very last day of Oct. As you can tell by now, no one really knows much about us. When I tell ppl about 23rd BEB, they ask "WHO?!?". Reason is because we are still new and we have not really made an impact yet.... Not sure what else you want to know...<br /><br />What's your MOS?Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 7 at 2016 8:50 PM2016-01-07T20:50:31-05:002016-01-07T20:50:31-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member1669206<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What can you tell me about 23rd BEB going there in august.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 27 at 2016 10:19 PM2016-06-27T22:19:14-04:002016-06-27T22:19:14-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member2363680<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm new to the area my orders say I.
