Ensure it is recorded with the VA. Get a referral to a specialist. Good luck. SMSgt Bob W. This could be a warning sign. If benign then they can do either a maneuver or prescription that might help. Good luck and I don’t just play a doctor on tv…lol COL Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 10 Jan 2022 16:14:42 -0500 2022-01-10T16:14:42-05:00 Response by SrA John Monette made Jan 11 at 2022 1:39 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-can-you-for-tinnitus-ringing-in-the-ear-relief?n=7469458&urlhash=7469458 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The only thing I take for it is the rating from the VA. Probably not what you want to hear, though. If the latter, the VA will provide you with hearing aides and I&#39;ve found that they limit the tinnitus. Tinnitus will also get you a 10% Disability Rating which, by itself does not actually get disability payments.<br />Beyond that, like when trying to sleep, there are electronic devices readily available that make &quot;white noise.&quot; Verious settings will help mask tinnitus. I&#39;m lucky in that regard - my tinnitus for YEARS was the same frequency as cricketts and as an avid camper, it was easy to literally be lulled to sleep. More recently, along with that is a &quot;roaring&quot; sound but somehow I&#39;m not overly bothered by that either. Basically how severe after you have a workup to verify. No cures, yet. Pricy electronics that VA won&#39;t provide. (approx. $6000) VA has a center for it in OR. <a target="_blank" href="https://www.ncrar.research.va.gov/">https://www.ncrar.research.va.gov/</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/683/379/qrc/open-uri20220112-31936-fnchlm"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.ncrar.research.va.gov/">VA.gov | Veterans Affairs</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">Apply for and manage the VA benefits and services you’ve earned as a Veteran, Servicemember, or family member—like health care, disability, education, and more.</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 11 Jan 2022 19:00:12 -0500 2022-01-11T19:00:12-05:00 Response by PFC David Tomlinson made Jan 12 at 2022 11:44 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-can-you-for-tinnitus-ringing-in-the-ear-relief?n=7472055&urlhash=7472055 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I got a disability rating of, I think, 10% from the VA Hospital in CIcero when I ETSed in 1975. A few months ago, I got a test at the VA facility in Manila. 70-80% hearing loss. Nothing can be done about it, and as they told me 45 years ago, I am eligible for a hearing aid. That&#39;s it.
