Ensure it is recorded with the VA. Get a referral to a specialist. Good luck.Response by SMSgt Bob W. made Jan 10 at 2022 12:07 PM2022-01-10T12:07:26-05:002022-01-10T12:07:26-05:00COL Private RallyPoint Member7468122<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Probably not what you want to hear but you need to take your butt to an ENT to make sure it is not one of the dozen causes associated with something more serious. This could be a warning sign. If benign then they can do either a maneuver or prescription that might help. Good luck and I don’t just play a doctor on tv…lolResponse by COL Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 10 at 2022 4:14 PM2022-01-10T16:14:42-05:002022-01-10T16:14:42-05:00SrA John Monette7469458<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The only thing I take for it is the rating from the VA. Probably not what you want to hear, though.Response by SrA John Monette made Jan 11 at 2022 1:39 PM2022-01-11T13:39:23-05:002022-01-11T13:39:23-05:00SSG Bill McCoy7469486<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can't tell if you're AD, Reserve or Veteran. If the latter, the VA will provide you with hearing aides and I've found that they limit the tinnitus. Tinnitus will also get you a 10% Disability Rating which, by itself does not actually get disability payments.<br />Beyond that, like when trying to sleep, there are electronic devices readily available that make "white noise." Verious settings will help mask tinnitus. I'm lucky in that regard - my tinnitus for YEARS was the same frequency as cricketts and as an avid camper, it was easy to literally be lulled to sleep. More recently, along with that is a "roaring" sound but somehow I'm not overly bothered by that either.Response by SSG Bill McCoy made Jan 11 at 2022 1:58 PM2022-01-11T13:58:15-05:002022-01-11T13:58:15-05:00CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member7469879<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Depends on if its ringing or balance issues and vertigo. Basically how severe after you have a workup to verify. No cures, yet. Pricy electronics that VA won't provide. (approx. $6000) VA has a center for it in OR. <a target="_blank" href="https://www.ncrar.research.va.gov/">https://www.ncrar.research.va.gov/</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">

A few months ago, I got a test at the VA facility in Manila. 70-80% hearing loss. Nothing can be done about it, and as they told me 45 years ago, I am eligible for a hearing aid. That's it.Response by PFC David Tomlinson made Jan 12 at 2022 11:44 PM2022-01-12T23:44:19-05:002022-01-12T23:44:19-05:002022-01-10T08:35:42-05:00
