What can my wife and I do to get stationed together again (she is AD AF and I am AD Army)?

To provide more insite (they only allow 140 charaters) we were stationed at Bragg/Pope and she came on orders for Nellis AFB in NV. I am currently deployed but want to start setting the ground work to get back to my family and help her with our two boys. I submitted a 4187 to BDE S1 but after that I am unsure of what to do

I would have to say that you each contact your branch managers and then have each branch manager talk to each other. Otherwise, I have no other helpful information that would be beneficial.

Would your MOS and her AF Specialty be compatible say at Langley/Eustis would you go if they ciould fit you in there? I'm out of the AF myself, and it's a suggestion
Or Ft. Lewis/McCord ?

Best bet is, one of you is gonna have to leave the military. It is extremely difficult to put you guys together. Different branch and also mos.

You will have to be stationed where the USA and USAF are colocated, which will be hard.

You have to use your chain of command, however, you should contact your congressmen, each of you.

There are quite a few joint bases Pope/Bragg, Shaw, Lewis/McCord, Langley/Eustis, Joint Base Lackland. I think you guys have a few options. I also think that you guys may not have to be necessarily stationed together. There are some Air Force Bases that a decently close to an Army Installation. I guess it comes down to your MOS and her AFSC

Air Force needs to go to MPF and place the mil to mil on your MILPDS with his SSN I forget the code but basically says your married mil to mil and the army needs to go to the admin/personnel section to do the same. Those codes must be put on your record. Since it's a different service they will use your SSN. Then you have to wait until they can move u close together. I'm an admin for AF and the MILPDS needs to reflect your active duty marriage status.

So update to the situation. My1SG and S1 NCOIC came through. I am on orders to FT Bliss. Still a little bit of a distance away but its better than nothing

I believe I was told at one time that the Air Force only guarantees to put you within a certain mileage of your SO if you have separate branches.

Understand your problem, the only way I see for you to get together is for you both to be stationed in the bases in the same cities. There are several cities in the U.S. that have both USAF and Army bases, an example is San Antonio, TX, and another is Charleston S.C.
