What can I expect in a support role at 4th Ranger TRNG Bat?

im pcsing to a ranger trng bat in a few months, not actually going ranger just supporting and assisting in training, as a 15p im thinking I am going to there aviation unit, what can I expect there ? 4th rtb probably hhc . any info would be great

I'm not aware of RTB having any 15P slots. They don't maintain any aircraft of their own. They certainly don't have an aviation unit.
Why is it you think you are going to RTB? Also, RTB is not 75th Ranger Regiment.

I am not sure of 4th RTB having any attached aviation but I do know that 5th RTB does. In the mountains of GA there is a small base there that supports itself. They have an aviation asset for real world injuries. I don't recall if 6th RTB does. I am more curious if they are sending you to 4th RTB to inprocess you and then send you to 5th RTB. At 5th RTB they really don't have much there. You would have to to go to Airborne Ranger Training Brigade to inprocess.

I have attached a picture of Camp Merrill where you could see their aviation asset. It is a small bird they only use for Air Evac.

Fort Benning has a sponsor program, you should be assigned one from your gaining unit. If you go to the Benning website there is a link, good luck Benning is a great place to be stationed

Each separate RTB does not have any 15p slots. 5th and 6th each get medivac birds for class but lately the support for 5th has been coming from ft carson. I am not sure if Benning flight company falls under ARTB.

You're going to the flight company that belongs to 4th RTBn. They're based on the airfield at Fort Benning. The unit provides support for Airborne School, Pathfinder, Air Assualt, Ranger School, and Sniper School. It's a non-deployable unit. I don't know much about the company as they were only apart of 4th for a short period before I retired. Look for someone on here who is currently in the flight company and connect with them. Take advantage of being in 4th RTBN, prob your only shot at going to Ranger School and Airborne School.

You hit a home run with that assignment! Airborne, Air Assault, Ranger school, etc. Work your butt off and see how many schools you get put in for! BTW, Congrats on making it through 15P training. Stay in the Army, get your stripes and do all your schools. USAjobs has tons of jobs for you post Army at the $83K level. I was blown away. Regards, Uncle Mark

Make sure you work hard and are well-like, and as previously stated, you will have a treasure trove of high-speed schools open up before you. We had several RTB support personnel in my Ranger school class, and they stated they often got to "walk across the street" for other courses. It should be a great opportunity for you; good luck!

You will be in a S shop in HHC supporting flights. 15P's are just flight ops and you'll track flights.

Ya know, I have actually been wondering that same thing lately! I would guess that you can expect to be held to the Unit standards, but as for actual job description, I would think it would fall under your typical MOS SOPs. Honestly though, this is my best guess, a BAT guy could probably tell you better.

Go to Ranger school, it will be a good opportunity to do so.
