What can I expect at Vilseck, Germany? Where can I get a cheap car?

Any place in Germany is a good duty station. There is a lot of training there, but it does afford you a lot of travel to many great areas. You will be fine! Get out and enjoy yourself!

Great times if you can relax and get out.. possibly and generally you really wont need a car but it is nice to have.

Bookoo is an app used to find pretty good deals. We use the train quite a bit to get around. The Vilseck train station attendants are very helpful. If you are with 2CR, you can expect to be busy but there is time off for travels.

In Graf by the PX on the resale lot . Vilseck is by far my favourite assignment , quiet and peaceful but only a train ride from a good time

You can expect a lot of training . Value the days off and travel as much as you can. People are selling cars ;inquire with graf yard sales ... but always have a mechanic buddy look at the car if possible... unless your good with cars. Take the online drivers test through JKO prior to arriving. Do not let word of mouth sway your opinion of a unit ... always make your own judgment and remember you make the best out of your time there ... go to any an all the schools you can.
