What can I do now as a PV2, to put me in position to become an Aviation Warrant Officer?

I am a PV2 in Field Artillery. I was told by one of my instructors who is heading to W.O.C. soon that even though I have tattoos below my elbow, I can still become a Warrant Officer. Due to my tattoos having been documented I was told that I would be considered grandfathered in. After being told this my dream of becoming a pilot has been made possible again. First I would like to know where I could find out if this information is true, and from there I would like to know what steps I would need to take in order to complete a packet to request helicopter warrant officer school? I will be PCSing to Ft. Hood soon, so I was wondering if there are any resources there to help me realize my dream? I would appreciate any information or assistance possible.

AR 670-1 states that more than 4 visible tattoos is not waiverable for commissioning programs and WO programs. There is no grandfather clause to this unless you had been selected prior to the regulation being released.

I am sure there are others out there who are more qualified to speak to you about WOFT.
