Find a way to make it work ask questions of the chain of command as well as possibly your employer. You&#39;ll only be a PVT for a relatively short period of time provided you don&#39;t bow it now! Good luck and full fill you dreams and commitments! This could result in loss of rank, pay or being discharged from the military. Contact your FLL for a possible SUTA of the days you cant attend. It is your duty to attend any and all training days pushed down from your CO. It sounds like you where put on orders for training so best bet is you will receive an Article 15 for being AWOL. To begin with, you will be on active duty and will be paid for your time. If you don&#39;t show up you will probably get kicked out of the reserves and forfeit any and all of your benefits. There is no reason why you cannot workout a suitable arrangement with your command ahead of time if you know I&#39;m sure you are incapable of being away for 2 weeks. Waiting until it&#39;s time to show up is unacceptable and would not fly in a civilian job either. If your monthly bills are more than your cash flow, you need to take a hard look at your NEEDS vs WANTS. Your employer is required by law to grant you the time off for military duty. If you use credit cards alot, start paying them off. Check to see if your employer is a supporter of ESGR. Who is your employer? Missing a military movement will hurt points towards a good retirement year and possible UCMJ SSG Matthew Koehler Fri, 03 Aug 2018 19:06:58 -0400 2018-08-03T19:06:58-04:00 Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Aug 3 at 2018 11:12 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-can-happen-if-you-do-not-go-to-the-ect-for-the-army-reserves?n=3851627&urlhash=3851627 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If it is mandatory, then you will face UCMJ and possible discharge.
