What bank should I use to avoid the international fees while deployed?

Navy Federal Credit Union and/or Bank of America. They have the largest presence in overseas locations. Personally, I would recommend NFCU. I have had a bad experience with BofA, although that was 10+ years ago.

I think Wells Fargo does but I hear better things about USAA and Navy Federal

If you are active military, Reserves, Guard, or retired, there is really only one choice: USAA!!!

SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member USAA! For sure...Always! USAA has the least amount of fee's.....USAA is the only bank that will pay you back 10 times per month for using another institutions ATM machine. USAA is the only bank that DOES NOT charge for certain things...Unlike Bank of American, Wells Fargo, Chase and other big banks...and USAA pays better on their CD's...and Money Market accounts.

Usaa bank is probably the best chance. They are easy to contact and you can do everything on their app that you have to go to a bank to do. And they pay your ATM fees alot if the time.

Unless you have a good bank already, in which case, staying with your bank wouldn't effect much of anything

If you already have credible bank that you use, I would stay with it. You can pay everything you need to, online without any issues. I have WF and USAA and didn't have any international fees to pay.
