AUSA’s 2013 Annual Report
LOCAL COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
AUSA has 125 chapters located worldwide. Made up entirely of volunteers, they provide recreational and educational opportunities to Soldiers and their families. Most importantly, they support our deployed Soldiers and families left behind. AUSA and its' chapters have contributed over $2,000,000 to awards, scholarships, and support of soldier and family programs.
EDUCATION
Grassroots support for America's Army can only come when people know and understand the value of the Army to the nation. AUSA accomplishes this through its various chapters, our Institute of Land Warfare, Industry Affairs meetings & events, and our Government Affairs office.
PROFESSIONAL BENEFITS
AUSA wants to become your professional association. As an Army professional, you need to keep current on issues that affect you in the work place. AUSA is the only organization in existence that offers educational material and events designed specifically to educate you about these issues.
WHO CAN JOIN?
AUSA is open to all Army ranks and all components -- including Active, National Guard, Army Reserve -- Government civilians, retirees, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, concerned citizens and family members. Indeed AUSA welcomes anyone who subscribes to the philosophy of a strong national defense with special concern for the Army. SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL was a great Drill Sergeant! He has trained some of the most highly motivated and high speed Infantry soldiers in the Army. ;)

SFC Josh Simpson what makes you recommend the NIA? I mean other than the simple fact that we're infantrymen. I imagine you've been a member for a while? What are your personal thoughts or experiences? I ask because I've contemplated about being a member until I realized that Fort Bliss and the El Paso community does not have an active chapter according to the NIA's website.
