What are your top characteristic traits you want to see from Warriors graduating BT/AIT?

I have only one short month once I take command to challenge the present Future Warriors on having quality characteristic traits before they head off to their respective next assignments. I want the rest of the force to get the best qualified Soldiers to move up in the ranks and not ones that are a complete headache for command teams. My goal is to embed these traits into them so that they continue to keep our proud tradition strong.

What is critically important to me is simply seeing Warriors with much pride, discipline, respect, loyalty, commitment, and a high ambition to be very successful in today's US Army.

Sir, congratulations first of all.

I would like to see them Working better as a team. Knowledge about the Army's History. In addition try to take out if them the sense of entitlement

Congrats on the command first of all. I would like to see Soldiers understand that they are a part of something bigger. I want them to be proud in the decision they made, whether a 4 year commitment or they are thinking of making it a career. I want them to be disciplined and I want them to understand that just like any job, you start at the bottom and work your way up. I want them to be aware of the sacrifices of Soldiers before them. The heroes of our generation. I want them to know about the Battle of Robert's Ridge, the sacrifice of SPC Ross McGinnis, and the bravery of 1LT Jennifer Moreno. I know you have to check the blocks on some training, but give them the basic buildings blocks and we will build upon that foundation when the get to AIT and then their first duty station.

Pride in their Army; more self-discipline; teach them the history of the CAV; "trample" the self-entitlement out of them if at all possible! "TREAT 'EM ROUGH!!"
