Some come here thinking it's just about feelings...they are right. But it's much more than that as well. I will be doing a 14-week podcast to walk through all of the competencies I learn here. What are your thoughts about what MRT is and what it can offer you? You might be surprised that you have a skewed version of it. What are your thoughts on what MRT is all about? *Master Resiliency Training* 2016-09-13T09:05:22-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 1887807

I am currently at the course in California. For me it was a waste of time. I still have the books though so I can speak the language when I have to.

I developed my own coping mechanisms during 36 months in SWA, 7 months in the Balkans, 10 months in S. Korea combined with 20 years of time at NTC, JRTC, TDY and various field exercises. I give credit to my parents and grandparents for what they instilled in me. Not every Soldier is so lucky though and that is why I believe that is where MRTs and their programs come into play.

That said, mandatory training has a tendency to lose its value when we have to check a block for training statistics. Believe it or not, we actually have an excellent SHARP training program at Ft. Gordon. The trainer keeps us involved. MRTs need to do the same to keep it fresh.

Post the link to your podcast. If not, you need to get on that... I've had plenty of MRT, SRP, etc training and if it wasn't for my Civilian job, I would fail at being a 25N.
