As the GreatGrandson of a German "Illegal Allien" I rather like the Idea. As a Social Justice Catholic, I love the Idea. On the Legal Side, I can see where it is very Problematic for those Cities but I admire them for standing up for Truly Christian, Even Old Testament Ideals.

Sanctuary cities are clearly in violation of federal immigration law.

Then again, so are the executive orders related to illegals.

If .gov can go after AZ for attempting to ENFORCE immigration laws, then why are they ignoring municipalities who DEFY immigration laws?

I am no sympathy for those who circumvent the law to try and get a free pass to American Citizenship. There is a legal way to become a U.S. Citizen. Yes it can be a difficult task but the reality is that it is an achievable feet that has been accomplished by many before. I personally know of someone from my home town who was a natural born German Citizen who took the legal route to American Citizenship. He knocked it out and it was a proud moment for him and his family to celebrate and he got kudos from everyone who knew for achieving it.

States, Counties, and Cities should not be allowed to ignore Federal Immigration law and provide sanctuary like this. As well, Law Enforcement in those communities should do their job and work with Immigration agencies to remove these illegal immigrants from the cities. We have enough issues in our country with our own population, we don't need to give ourselves more by wasting time and money on those who are too damn lazy to take the legal route.

How many of our citizens must die at the hands of illegals deported multiple times. Citizen lives matter!!!!
