What are your thoughts on Michael Brown's memorial?

I think it's a disgrace.. There are two videos on you tube of him robbing two separate people. If you were caught on video twice, how many people have you robbed that you weren't caught robbing?

Its terrible when anyone dies because the family suffers for it, But this turd is no hero or important enough to be memorialized. Turd! Race means nothing to me because we are all Americans. We all should expect our police to act right and our communities expect us not to commit crimes. So someone didn't live up to expectations!

Frankly, I am deeply offended by this CPO Private RallyPoint Member. But, at the same time, I am not surprised --- it is the world we live in now. Just look at the national political scene. We have a woman of questionable character running for the highest office in the land --- and people are actually salivating at the opportunity to vote for her. It's like the world that I grew up in has been turned upside down.

my mom always said if you cannot say anything nice say nothing. That having been said, this is an example of the priorities of this country. I have served in the military and in civilian law enforcement and I am severely distressed by the fact that politicians send representation to funerals of those killed by officers but rarely to the funerals of those that stand in defense of American ideals

I hate to speak ill of the dead. But this just goes to show that anyone can make a saint out of sinners. I wish honorable law abiding citizen could get this kind of recognition and memorials.

His family and those that supported him FEEL he deserves a memorial. Its a free country. But on that note, so do all the cops killed in the line of duty. Probably a better question to ask, why don't we have a greater call for memorial for police?

I live there and his murder happened only blocks away from where I live and I know his family. and those videos of him robbing those were not him. I know what he looks like and those videos were not him. Just because they're a big stocky African American does not mean it's him. And that one video that shows that you robbed the convenience store just down the street I know the owners and the young lady that work there including the old man both said that was not him that robbed them. So get your facts straight. the United States is the top 70 percent overall nations including China on law enforcement killing unarmed innocent people. Our law enforcement needs to we organize and retrain. we are to have some people from China Germany England even chili come to the US and train are police officers how to not act so paranoid and schizophrenic around African Americans and anybody that is mentally challenged. I get very vocal on this because a very good friend of mine was gunned down by a police officer driving home from work. he got pulled over the cop told him to get his license registration and insurance he opened up the glove box panicked and shot him in the head 3 times. Because he thought he saw a gun. And there was no gun. Pick up nothing was done to him he still working still handing out bogus tickets and that young man that friend of mine he left a widow and three children they're still under the ages of 6 5 & 3. Cops have a legal right to kill in the United States and that is something that needs to change. I'm sorry if I finding your body here but this is a very touchy subject to me and I'm a very outspoken on this for the police in the United States need to be retrained and even be what through extreme psych evaluations. It's a shame the United States the top 70% of killing unarmed innocent people worldwide.

Is this posted somewhere in the city or is this what is on his grave? If this is on his grave, why do you care what is out there? If his parents bought that and had that to represent his son, then that is his choice. No one is making anyone walk over to it and take a picture with it. It causes me no undue harm or heartache if that is what some own remembers him by. I will not visit the memorial but at the same time, I have 6,376 more important things to remember, to do, and to plan for so that isn't even in my radar. But by you making this post, you yourself made him headline news again when he wasn't even given a thought prior to your post.

The media spear headed a circus on this guy support false statements of people. They showed pictures of this when he was a young teenager instead of showing true and up to date pictures of him being a full grown adult with this pants sagging.
