What are your thoughts on Jen Welter becoming an NFL coach?

The Arizona Carsinals have hired a woman as a coach. I'd love to know what everyone thinks. How will she do? Will she be accepted in an all male league?

I think its going to be very interesting to watch. But as a sport fan, the true decision for me will be how the team does under her leadership. Being a female has no real barring on her understanding on how to motivate the players and get results, just take a look at all the failed male coaches in the league.

I think she is only doing a few of the preseason games. I think gaining credibility with the players will be hard. She did play a some in a women's league and I think a season or two in arena football (not sure on that). A position coach really needs to have played the position at a pretty high level in order to be highly effective.

I'm glad to see women coming out their shell and pursuing what they want to do. San Antonio Spurs has a female coach. Go Spurs Go!
