What are your military goals for the new year?

While no longer in the military, Uncle Sam spent a lot of money teaching me Russian. My goal is to get back up to speed and see about using Russian in a way that is of benefit to said Uncle Sam. I don't see this as antithetical to my New Year's resolutions, stated elsewhere on RP.

Earn EIB (if they still offer that for Infantry Gusrdsman), try to get a slot in Pathfinder Course, finish ALC, transition to a new section and become an Assistant Instructor (AI) for Infantry Transition Course (ITC)....pass APFT, start a H/W program for the unit, shoot expert, and be 1 year closer to retirement....and if I make the list, get promoted.

My goal is to finish out my tour here in Belgium without getting fired ;) Then PCS with the family down to Wiesbaden and hopefully put a Diamond back on one more time.

SFC CT, Last year my goal was to cut 25 lbs from my body and the goal was achieved in October. This year my goal will be to fit into pants size 32 in and right now I am at a 34 from 38 or 39 from last year. The only problem with my weight loss was having to pay lots of money to get my ASUs altered and buy new pants. The upside was that I gained confidence with more of a Soldierly appearance. The second goal is to earn a 275 on my next APFT. My last one which was in October was 266 points up from 260 so with a 6 point gain from the prior APFT so is possible. My last goal is to achieve my 20k ruck march in 2:45 hours and my last one was at 2:58 hours.

My military goal for this year is to re enter the service (Reserves) after a 13 year break. I'm still weighing my options for Army vs. Navy (I've done both) and enlisted vs. officer (I've been enlisted twice, but I have a Masters now). I want to give back and also set a good example for my newborn son. Fingers crossed!

My goal this year in the military is to PCS to Ft.Polk, LA, put the diamond back on and influence Soldiers and leaders in the organization. I also want to be the best husband and father I can.

Nuclear Staff Assistance Visit, AAAHC inspection (similar to joint commission for hospitals, but for clinics), Nuclear Surity Inspection, UEI (new variation of operational readiness inspection), then ride out to retirement.
