1 trip to Korea... a couple TDYs... Its been good. :)

Panama- less than 30 days

OIF III-13 months

9 combat tours-(Panama, Desert Shield/Storm, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, OIF I/III/V)

Also many deployments not combat related (Honduras, Columbia, Cuba, Turkey, Bahrain, Belgium, Panama)-many of these were 30-90 days.

I was at BAF for 3 months last year, and I'm currently on my fifth month at KAF.

Back in the day it was short tours and TDY (never called it deployment till Desert Storm/Shield). 15 month short tour to Clark and lots of TDYs. I had the privilege of being an Independent Duty Medical Tech (IDMT) & did site coverage a number of times.

Being Coast Guard, I only did one, Vietnam. 6 months in country, but travel time added about 4 more ( long way from New York where we were home ported; teh a main engine blew up on the way home and slowed us down ).

Two 15 month tours, both in Iraq. Needless to say, by my second time around I was considered bad luck to be around when talk of extensions of any kind came up.
