What are your feelings and opinions on those who go off to war and find their home being foreclosed on? Should banks work with veterans?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but veterans should be treated no differently than the other civilians who never served. Everyone should have an equal chance to re-negotiate their terms with the bank

With an all-volunteer force, I have no sympathy. If you make $100,000 a year as a civilian, and $30,000 a year while deployed, the member has to consider this to see if it is worth it to continue serving.

Lenders that break the law (SSCRA) need to be held accountable - but if everything is on the up-and-up, bummer for the member - they should have considered this before enlisting/reenlisting.

We didn't/don't serve for special privileges. We serve/served because it was a privilege to be free citizens of a free nation

I think its real shitty that this happened. Especially since the banks got their bailout for putting the country in the mess that it is in since 2008. None of them saw any consequences with the whole default swap. You would think that this would have qualified for the HAMP restructuring. It sucks everyone other than the service member got to make out like bandits while we did our job over there. You would think that our country would prevent this. They don't. It does not side of the isle the politicians the majority frankly don't give a shit.

Have you thought putting together one of those petitions online and putting this on Reddit.

Hopefully someone could get the attention of the news media. Who knows.
