I was saddened to see that Unit Prevention Leader (UPL) is no longer worth promotion points. I feel that it should be. It is a 40 hour course that is approved by the Army through the ASAP program, AR 600-85. The duty fills a vital role for the well being of the unit. I just feel that points should be awarded for it, I mean you can still get points for the fork lift operator course and the bus driver course. What are you feelings about the recent change to what courses are authorized for promotion points?2014-06-26T06:31:20-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member164074<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I recently saw the newly published list of approved schools. This list changes each year...sometimes a few times per year. I will tell you this. Stay the course. Balance the courses that provide promotion points with those "troop schools" that are necessary for unit success and mission accomplishment. While they may not be "sexy" or provide promotion points, they are necessary and they do provide additional duties and opportunities to excel on your evaluations.Response by 1SG Steven Stankovich made Jun 26 at 2014 3:48 PM2014-06-26T15:48:12-04:002014-06-26T15:48:12-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member166098<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was looking at my ERB, and noticed my promotion points went down by four. According to the new list for courses listed for promotion UPL still has a "Y" meaning it still worth promotion points. Just have you S1 look into it.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 28 at 2014 4:28 PM2014-06-28T16:28:16-04:002014-06-28T16:28:16-04:002014-06-26T06:31:20-04:00
