I am new to the Army and just finished airborne myself but we had many SSG here as well as officers. You may just need to talk to the right personnel. The some of best leaders here were the enlisted SSG going through the school with us. If you get the physical knocked out and a slot opens up they will probably send you, this happened to several guys I was in Drum with who wanted airborne CW3 Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 30 May 2020 22:39:17 -0400 2020-05-30T22:39:17-04:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2020 3:34 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-the-odds-of-a-ssg-being-able-to-go-airborne?n=5953663&urlhash=5953663 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That’s too easy. When I went through there were O-4s &amp; E-8s going through with me. It’s not a difficult school to pass by any means if you’re remotely in shape. Are you wanting to serve in a Airborne unit or are you wanting the school not the duties? You can speak with your branch to see if they can place you in on an Airborne assignment. And get BASIC Airborne Course in route to new unit. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Sun, 31 May 2020 11:07:25 -0400 2020-05-31T11:07:25-04:00 Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 1 at 2020 3:10 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-the-odds-of-a-ssg-being-able-to-go-airborne?n=5957189&urlhash=5957189 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It shouldn&#39;t be an issue, just know there are only three duty stations for airborne FA: Bragg, Alaska, and Grafenwoehr, Germany.
