I am new to the Army and just finished airborne myself but we had many SSG here as well as officers. You may just need to talk to the right personnel. The some of best leaders here were the enlisted SSG going through the school with us.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made May 29 at 2020 2:20 PM2020-05-29T14:20:42-04:002020-05-29T14:20:42-04:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member5948583<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you want Airborne and don't mind reclassing - drop your Civil Affairs or SF packet, get Selected - boom guaranteed Airborne.Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made May 29 at 2020 2:59 PM2020-05-29T14:59:19-04:002020-05-29T14:59:19-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member5949637<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You’re on assignment, you can only reenlist for the assignmentResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 29 at 2020 8:15 PM2020-05-29T20:15:30-04:002020-05-29T20:15:30-04:00CW3 Private RallyPoint Member5953352<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Talk to retention also plenty of non airborne units have airborne slots if you talk to your BN/BDE S3. If you get the physical knocked out and a slot opens up they will probably send you, this happened to several guys I was in Drum with who wanted airborneResponse by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made May 30 at 2020 10:39 PM2020-05-30T22:39:17-04:002020-05-30T22:39:17-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5953663<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That’s too easy. When I went through there were O-4s & E-8s going through with me. It’s not a difficult school to pass by any means if you’re remotely in shape.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2020 3:34 AM2020-05-31T03:34:23-04:002020-05-31T03:34:23-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member5954692<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>MOS and rank are not the problem. Are you wanting to serve in a Airborne unit or are you wanting the school not the duties? You can speak with your branch to see if they can place you in on an Airborne assignment. And get BASIC Airborne Course in route to new unit.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2020 11:07 AM2020-05-31T11:07:25-04:002020-05-31T11:07:25-04:00WO1 Private RallyPoint Member5957189<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It shouldn't be an issue, just know there are only three duty stations for airborne FA: Bragg, Alaska, and Grafenwoehr, Germany.Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 1 at 2020 3:10 AM2020-06-01T03:10:13-04:002020-06-01T03:10:13-04:00CPL Richard Smith5996505<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>how is your pt test numbers look like if there up there around 300 then you should make it as long as you can run like the wind because they will make you and fall out of 3 runs and booted good luck and when i went to airborne school we had a LTC go through and made he had to be in his 40's late 40'sResponse by CPL Richard Smith made Jun 11 at 2020 10:31 PM2020-06-11T22:31:42-04:002020-06-11T22:31:42-04:002020-05-29T14:17:21-04:00
