Whenever I ask my chain of command I can never get a straight forward answer. I was able to take summer block leave last month because they gave us the opportunity to do so. But now I’m wondering if it will Just be the same thing for holiday block leave. Thanks in advance for all answers! What are the leave restrictions as of right now?2020-08-09T22:26:13-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member6190893<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Asking if anyone has information about the travel restrictions regarding the military, whenever I search it up on google it’s information from months ago. They will have the best visibility on limitations and restriction that apply to your current location. Each installation is different, therefore different limitations will be put into place based upon mission requirements. Lacking direction from your NCOs, use the CoC to get the answer you need. And no one knows what restrictions may be in place 3 months from now.Response by TSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 9 at 2020 10:37 PM2020-08-09T22:37:42-04:002020-08-09T22:37:42-04:00CSM Charles Hayden6190926<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="1760460" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/1760460-92y-unit-supply-specialist">SPC Private RallyPoint Member</a> Your CoC is your only reliable source of info about leave time. They would enjoy giving you a straight forward answer. If they sign the leave request that you submit, you are good to go. (With a mask!). Do not tarry, haul your axx away from the AO.Response by CSM Charles Hayden made Aug 9 at 2020 10:45 PM2020-08-09T22:45:52-04:002020-08-09T22:45:52-04:00SPC Erich Guenther6191189<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Your joking right? Your CoC is not going to overide what is already in place between the states. I would not travel outside your current state and the best vacation you should take right now is one that is either very close to home or at home. Only exception you have to those rules is family Emergency. I had to travel due to a Family Emergency in June. The transportation system then was pretty screwed up. Cab companies out of service, lots of rental car locations closed, Lyft and Uber unreliable, bus and train schedules reduced to ridiculous layover times, restaurants and some hotels closed. It really sucks right now unless you intend to sleep in your car or go camping. If you go anywhere near a health care facility they are going to ask what state your from and when you traveled last and if you answer that question wrong your in trouble. At some points during your travel they will ask the same question.Response by SPC Erich Guenther made Aug 10 at 2020 12:49 AM2020-08-10T00:49:40-04:002020-08-10T00:49:40-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member6191320<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I havent seen the full updated memo from the SECDEF, but the gist is that travel is being open to several states and some countries. However, what needs to be done prior to movement is a DRA for each person travelling. Again, these movement restrictions/allowances are constantly in flux. Hence why your CoC can't give you a straight answer because THEY are not getting a straight answer.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 10 at 2020 2:32 AM2020-08-10T02:32:06-04:002020-08-10T02:32:06-04:00SFC Kelly Fuerhoff6192710<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Every unit - is - different. <br /><br />No one can predict what's happening for HBL in December when it's August. It depends on the state you're in and what kind of mandates are or aren't pushed out by then. <br /><br />No one on here is a mind reader. December is still 4 months away. A lot can change by then. Just wait until about probably November your unit will push out guidance. There probably is none now because no one is concerned with HBL.Response by SFC Kelly Fuerhoff made Aug 10 at 2020 1:13 PM2020-08-10T13:13:12-04:002020-08-10T13:13:12-04:002020-08-09T22:26:13-04:00
