They will / should know to send your Additional Duties HAZMAT NCOs/Officers to what schools to go to. Self-Development courses in ATRRS are Ammo 67 and 108 for a good starting place. Your ATRRS Operator will need to send your SMs to the 2 week course as well. Ammo 67 is always required for assignments involving transporting petroleum products, so unless you get one of those rare assignments working administrative duties, you’ll have to maintain that certification throughout your career. <br />Check with your immediate supervisor for whatever the requirements are and what other opportunities are available. <br />Also, what SFC Hall posted. When I was still Active Reserve (KYARNG), the State Command had trainers that came around and certified the drivers. They may just do that online today. Also, this Guard Units are considered First Responders, the Senior Leadership were required to maintain a Hazmat First Responder certificate in this state. Most of that is about knowing the Hazmat labeling codes so you know when to tell everyone to run for their lives.
