<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Mid 80s ours were like Air Force dorms. 6th Cavalry (air cav near the airfield). Probably need renovating by now but bathrooms in the rooms - more comfy and less drafty than old WWII barracks were. Off post is always a good choice.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>They aren&#39;t too bad on the 1st Cav side. As of right now, there are two types of Barracks. The fully enclosed Barracks normally fit 2people in one room and has a stove top, and the barracks with the walkways outside typically have two rooms with a common area. They are really decent in size and livability. But outside of 1CAV, other units have terrible living conditions, on Ft Hood. From what I hear the reception Barracks are in better condition.
