I've heard of unit's banning social media sites, and I'm not so sure that's the best fix for the problem. Not sure which is better. Even I learned something with one a found a few months ago for company training. The problem is most soldiers these days grew up on social media and haven't taken time to think about the consequences. Just have to keep educating them...one day they might get it. If you want the Army approved social media training I found please feel free to message me and I will send it your way. I went through the OPSEC training a few years back and being vocal and teaching others is the ideal method to increase awareness and effectiveness of OPSEC. Not regulation but the Army wants people to use social media.

Also OPSEC is not an intel function. Hopefully your unit knows that. It's just a pet peeve. Neither is PHYSEC.
