Or any unique lessons or experiences That could help? I am about to max out on points for ako. I’m prior active and in total only have 3 years in service. But I’m hungry to start being better and a greater influence on those around me, how do I gain the knowledge and tools to do so?What are some unique ways to help junior enlisted soldiers understand the Army and become better soldiers and leaders?2018-12-11T19:42:50-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member4200949

Are there any recommended books/audiobooks or courses I should take besides the ones on AKO? I think that the ultimate traits for followers are: attitude, reliability, and common sense.

Soldiers should look at the good and bad leaders to determine what they think the concept of being a good leader is.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Dec 11 at 2018 8:05 PM2018-12-11T20:05:53-05:002018-12-11T20:05:53-05:00LTC Eugene Chu4201020

Read paper periodicals or visit their websites. With leadership asking how to improve, that persuades me that you are teachable and humble, which is why you will be perceived as reachable by your troops/team/CoC, etc.

Maintain and develop those traits and I am leaning towards a new and different kind of leader.
