I cant think of any special duty assignments where the only requirement is that you are a SSG. Maybe this is a question that can be answered best by your assignment Branch Manager.Response by SSG Robert Blum made Mar 6 at 2014 11:40 AM2014-03-06T11:40:30-05:002014-03-06T11:40:30-05:00SFC Michael Hasbun70792

Well, I work Quality Assurance for the Accreditation and Assistance Department at CASCOM, anyone ever hear of it? =) Oh, it's a SFC slot though, so it may not be what you're looking for...Response by SFC Michael Hasbun made Mar 6 at 2014 11:43 AM2014-03-06T11:43:00-05:002014-03-06T11:43:00-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member70810

The qualifications are fairly high and the application process is a pain but this turned out to be the best assignment of my 27 year career:

https://sites.google.com/site/armyattachemanagementdivision/home

Army Attache Management Division

Provide information regarding assignment to the Defense Attache System for U.S. Army personnel.

Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 6 at 2014 12:19 PM2014-03-06T12:19:24-05:002014-03-06T12:19:24-05:00SFC James Baber70814

SSG Paga,

CID is not MOS dependent, although they do like you to have some type of LE or MP background it is not mandatory, in fact when there was a big push on about 5-10 years ago if you got accepted and while waiting for a school date/slot, they would OJT you with an MP unit for about 6 months and a current Agent for 6-12 months, the school dates on average would take 12-18 months to get while they completed your background, interviews, clearances, etc.

I did it for awhile when we were down from drug missions in the early to mid-90s, I enjoyed it, but I didn't like all the paperwork and office time, I was also still all gung-ho for the adrenaline action as well at that time, was still in my mid to late 20s.
Response by SFC James Baber made Mar 6 at 2014 12:29 PM2014-03-06T12:29:02-05:002014-03-06T12:29:02-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member364845

Do IG, cadet Cadre, even Instructor skies the limit manResponse by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 10 at 2014 6:49 PM2014-12-10T18:49:14-05:002014-12-10T18:49:14-05:00SFC Amir Kurdy512649

SSG Page
Milper Message Number 15-061 Assignments to the White House Communications Agency ..Issued: [27 Feb 15]...

1.
