I feel that being an outdoors person is a way of life and that the ability to obtain good affordable equipment is essential. I have tried purchasing new and used—but I have a hard time finding equipment to add to my inventory—that is cost effective. Any suggestions? I am the type of person that always brings to much or not enough. If you join, you also get a check every year that you can use on equipment or for cash. It is a great company! I lead a pack of Cub Scouts and have found that I could get most of the essentials at either place. I would also recommend Amazon if you're looking for a specific item you might find a good deal. Their return policy is amazing and the check at the end of the year is an added bonus. Eastern Mountain Sports is also worth a look if you're in the Northeast, and don't forget all the great little gear shops you find around ski towns and national parks.
