When I was there in 1974, any and all Army personnel could attend practice and tournament rounds by wearing a dress uniform, showing a military ID card and paying a nominal fee. Nowadays, I think the Army gets a number of tickets and conducts a lottery to distribute them. The Savannah Rapids Pavillion and Mistletoe State Park are good for running. Or there's First Friday downtown and usually some artsy or jazz festivals downtown and at Lady Antebellum park. There are more entertaining things to do in those areas. But if you want to stay in Augusta, catch a minor league hockey game downtown, Site see downtown, and enjoy the local places to eat.
